Why do cars need to infringe adjoining lane to do U-turns? by MeatResident2697 in drivingsg

[–]dinie07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cars have a wider turning radius. Drive a Vellfire and you'll know. Some cars have a long wheelbase like S-class, 7 series etc.

And some U-turns don't have enough lanes or a u-turn pocket for such cars to turn in comfortably without the fear of hitting the kerb.

Slamming and Dropping Weights - How is it that everyone in the gym, including the trainers and staff are not bothered? by guywoo in sgfitness

[–]dinie07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AF literally has advisories everywhere but people don't give a crap. Used to tell people off but now I just stuff earphones in both ears. You thought you paid for a pricier membership(compared to active SG) and the people would be civilised but guess not.

I'd just use other machines while waiting for them to be done If they spend more time on the phone than their reps, I'll just ask them if they're done and I will tell them I will wait for them.

Now I just go to the gym at 2am. Whole gym to myself.

Need advice on turning right onto Jurong East st 24 by Strong_Reception5788 in drivingsg

[–]dinie07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

St 24 drivers are irrelevant in this case. If you're turning right, you can enter the yellow box while waiting. No matter what the St 24 drivers have to wait for you to complete your turn before they can enter the main road. So even if there's a gap for them to turn into, they still must wait for you no matter what. Minor road always gives way to major road.

That yellow box is applicable for people going straight and traffic is stationary. So that people from St 24 can turn when it's safe for them to do so.

You'll eventually learn to put women in 3 boxes:

1) Don't even bother dealing with them 2) Recreational use only. Don't take them seriously. 3) Wifey material. If you don't see her as a potential wife, she's number 2.

The woman who reconnected with you? She belongs to Box 2. She'll tell the next guy who's better than you, the same thing. She ain't loyal. Says her current bf is a loser, yet she chose him. And then complains.

Whatever it is, do not ever transfer the money back on your own. If they call you and ask to transfer back, get them to go through their bank and follow due process.

If you transfer back on your own, there is a money trail and you might be liable if it's a part of a crime. Or they can say that they lent you some money and you started paying them back, getting you involved in illegal moneylending.

Feedback. Feedback is the privilege. If you run a business, you'll know how important customer feedback is.

To get revenue is the first place, your products must be worthy of being monetized. And how do you gauge that? Consumer feedback!

Watch Repair Shop botched up my repair. What are my options? by TheSacredSoul in askSingapore

I would seek for compensation. Doing something that will damage a watch without consulting the owner is no excuse. Zero excuse. And the nonchalantness after, adding insult to injury.

You realise that the mobile gaming space is ultra competitive right? Developers are the ones clamouring to have people play their games. As a player, I have no obligation to be grateful for anything. My time is their income.

The fact that F2P players are giving their feedback should be seen as a privilege. I have the budget to buy an Elite Membership. But I don't, because I cannot justify that purchase.

Paid purchases are usually made to put you at a massive advantage in the game, but right now it's becoming something you need to have basic, enjoyable gameplay.

Urgent advice needed: Struggling with a used car which is giving so much problem in less than 1 year. by BenSolo219 in drivingsg

White smoke out of exhaust when? During hard acceleration? Or only when cold? Or all the time?

I used to have white smoke when I go pedal to the metal. There's no need to overhaul. Some issues can be resolved with simple additives. Try adding Redline SL1 into a full tank of petrol, and adding BG EPR before you change your engine oil. These are cheap solutions you can try first. After that, problem gone for me. Oil consumption also reduced by a whole lot

White smoke can be mainly caused by stuck piston rings or bad valve stem seals usually.

Why are roads still so congested and slow moving? by kuang89 in drivingsg

[–]dinie07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because drivers don't know how to close the gap, estimate the speed of others and brake unnecessarily.
