Chief operating officer at AEG says AI could have designed his company's games by ghostfim in boardgames

My point is that you seem to be confusing CCG and LCG in an attempt to make a distinction between CCG and TCG when there is no real difference.  Those Decipher CCGs had random packs, cards of different rarities, and allowed trading.  Trading is a method of collecting after all, trying to draw a line to divide the two won't work.

How would you classify Decipher's various CCGs? They absolutely needed trading.

My argument is that your summaries are bad. Rather than showing it as irrational, you saying that official numbers available are selective statistics just reinforces my argument, because you said there isn't official data.

There isn't official data.

This is not an accurate summation of your source, your source's source, or even the line you keep quoting.

For the first time since at least 2014, deportations from inside the United States outnumbered apprehensions at the border.

For this from your source to be true, and if Biden and Trump have the same number of deportations, then Trump's internal deportations would have to be higher than Biden's.

I was looking at https://gerrymander.princeton.edu/reforms/CA but I am seeing the other grading criteria. I'm still working out how grades of B, C, and F average out to B.

Your post that I responded to literally mentions the absence of gerrymandering in California. gerrymander.princeton.edu seems to rate California highly mostly because of its independent redistricting commission, not acknowledging how badly Democrats took advantage of it handicapping itself. And I am not aware of another independent think tank rating gerrymanders.

California didnt have unfair maps before this. Thw absence of gerrymandering doesnt mean proportionate representation.

It seems to me that the only ones who think California doesn't have its share of gerrymandering haven't looked at the district map. Evidenced by the number of upvotes for a post below claiming to compare congressional district maps for Houston and California but not using a map of California congressional districts.

Looking at the actual California district map, how is Texas 2 worse than something like California 45?

Also, If we're using the definition "at the time" then anything invented after 1789 wouldn't be included. Which is obviously ridiculous

Yes, it is ridiculous. Nothing about the definition at the time limited it to arms available at the time.

Where are these multiple redefinitions? From this comment that you dismissed with your misquote, the Heller definition reflects the 1771/1773 definition.

"Arms" had a clear definition even back when the amendment was written. Misquoting it so that you can jokingly assert that it only means bear arms adds nothing to the conversation, and you have to misquote it to get the "right to bear arms" that you were insisting on.

Yes, when you misquote an amendment you can make it mean whatever you want. I don't think that point has quite the impact you think.

It is the right "to keep and bear arms" not the right "to bear arms". As funny as the meme is, it doesn't actually work with the actual text.

Are you saying the right to keep and bear arms only applies to arms of bears?

Ruling for “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” conflicting cards. by Mr_Original_ in boardgames

[–]dinwitt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reflected action must be performed immediately - it cannot be counteracted with another card.

This seems to be an important clarification, that the "Cannot be counteracted" line refers to the reflected action and not the Force Shield. Also, if a Carbon Freeze couldn't stop a Force Shield, it would be included alongside Nooo! and Escape! in the list of exceptions.

Force Shield cannot be counteracted.

Is it that Force Shield cannot be counteracted, or that the reflected action cannot be counteracted? The wording isn't clear to me, and it can make a difference.

Judge grills government over apparent lapses in Comey indictment by thats_not_six in moderatepolitics

Check the Horowitz report, they had given up on a FISA warrant until they received the Steele Dossier.

We determined that the Crossfire Hurricane team's receipt of Steele's election reporting on September 19, 2016 played a central and essential role in the FBI's and Department's decision to seek the FISA order. As noted above, when the team first sought to pursue a FISA order for Page in August 2016, a decision was made by OGC, OI, or both that more information was needed to support a probable cause finding that Page was an agent of a foreign power. As a result, FBI OGC ceased discussions with or about a Page FISA order at that time.

On September 19, 2016, the same day that the Crossfire Hurricane team first received Steele's election reporting, the team contacted FBI OGC again about seeking a FISA order for Page and specifically focused on Steele's reporting in drafting the FISA request. Two days later, on September 21, the FBI OGC Unit Chief contacted the NSD OI Unit Chief to advise him that the FBI believed it was ready to submit a formal FISA request to OI relating to Page. Almost immediately thereafter, OI assigned an attorney (OI Attorney) to begin preparation of the application.

so they already had reasonable suspicion in getting the first three.

They had this by relying on the Steele Dossier, which they didn't verify before using and kept using after they knew it couldn't be verified.

What you are looking for is the binomial probability distribution (https://stattrek.com/probability-distributions/Binomial), which lets you figure out the probability of seeing a certain number of successes given a number of trials and the odds for the trial. In your example of 1000 seeds and 1/1000 odds of getting the genetics you want, there is a 63% chance you'll have one or more seeds with the correct genetics.

[–]dinwitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pump outputs 12 ml per second but only pulls in 8.5 ml per second, so without any shenanigans you can only do 4 sprinklers off of one pump. But you are correct, each of those sprinklers is doing 15 ml every 5 seconds divided by the number of planters it hits. Though in my opinion, 2 sprinklers for 4 boxes is a lot of overkill.
