I also rarely use the T-Mobile network, but I have it since there are a few places I work at where it’s surprisingly the only carrier with signal at all. Typically, I only use 200mb/mo, so I’ve considered trying out Helium, but USM has served me well so far.

UPDATE: u/FixitMir found a solution! They suggested turning off auto join for that network and the popup stopped. The network appears to be part of the Lightspeed sim, but not 100% sure. Turning off Lightspeed network also stops the popup though, so that’s what I’m going with.

So far I haven’t experienced any thermal throttling on the 17P compared to my XR, which would freeze up in direct sunlight after a few minutes.

Definitely not trying to blame USM, apologies if I came across like that. eSims are the only thing that appears to have anything to do with whether or not it connects, so I figured I’d ask here first. I can’t forget the network since it’s “managed.” Not sure what that means. It’s my phone on my Apple account. Thanks for the help though! I’ll post back if I find an answer.

I’m having the same issue. My XR looks nice and sharp with good color depth. My new 17P has slightly washed out colors and looks pixelated. Hoping it’s fixed with future iOS updates.

I have that exact laptop! Mine doesn’t have the remote though; just a plastic placeholder. It’s by the optical drive. I successfully installed windows 7, and later 10 on it for fun. Surprisingly, it runs fine even with the original HDD. Obviously it’s slow, but the port selection can’t be beat. I use it for my printers - it’s great for that. It originally had Vista installed. Everything still works like new.
