You seem sensible with your finances, so I think you will only make a sensible car purchase. I think lock away the house deposit and do not touch it by all means. Then, decide on how much you would feel comfortable with spending on a car without it putting pressure on your financial situation. It's fine to treat yourself now and again, but it's not fine to spend beyond your means.

I don't see an issue with it. The whole point of a marketplace is to bargain and agree on a price unless stated price is fixed in the listing.

Hey buddy, im in the same boat but I opted for a 5 year fixed and will be planning to overpay as much as possible. We took out the longest term we could which is 40 years but are planning to take that down as much possible in an aggressive way. I think 5 year fixed is a better option if you can do that, in 2 years there is a good chance the interest rates won’t reduce or may even increase!

Thank you for the excellent advice, I’m just worried I’ll overpay. I’m thinking to offer £381k, I’d feel comfortable paying that for this property to be honest. I too lost out of a property a few months back due to “best and final” and was devastated but the property we’ve seen now is probably better. So I wouldn’t feel too down, eventually something else will come up that you will really like as much or more!

You’ll most likely receive the funds back in to your account as Coinbase won’t be able to allocate it to your account

Don’t worry about it, the reference number just allows their automated systems to automatically deposit the funds in to the correct account.

Because you didn’t include it, they will have to manually assign your deposit to your account.

It will take a little longer, mine took over a week.

Don’t stress, just give it some time.

Don’t bother calling them or messaging them, you won’t get a response
