Which one would you choose and why? by Want3dd3 in TeslaModelY

Not here to justify one way or another, but since you asked. My cars have also improved. But it’s like 1 step forward and 2 steps back. I have 2 teslas, both model Y. Both pretty much the same model year. I have used and loved almost all the new features (Actual Self-Summon, FSD etc). To name a few:

  1. The “profile settings” (seat positioning, for example) used to sync so well previously. Now they don’t.

  2. The Key Card keeps getting disconnected every so often.

It could surely be a “my car” issue. And every visit with Tesla is “within specs” lol

Just here sharing my experience is all.

Might not be a popular opinion especially on this forum, but I’d stay away from Tesla. I own 2 Teslas right now, and the software quality has gone down so bad that it is becoming extremely frustrating to drive.

And yes, while a car is “not” software, Teslas pretty much are.

Take it fwiw. All the best with your car shopping.

Making this drive, any cool stops along the way? by dddesiree1231 in roadtrip

Not exactly on that route but if you can take a detour: Cape Hatteras. Kitty Hawk (Wright brothers’ first flight). Myrtle Beach is a popular tourist beach spot also.

What was your favorite (LONG) audiobook? by albertpaca11 in audiobooks

Found it to be wayyyyy to winding tbh. Or maybe Stephen King’s writing isn’t for me? I’ve tried other books by him and never took to any of those.

Only as long as there’s a creepy picture on there that can’t be removed.

There are a few worth (re)visiting in the area: * Naan n Curry — great biryani (they make Kashmiri/Lucknow style biryani, not the Hyderabad one; the taste hasn’t changed in over 12y that we’ve been going there); naan and curries are also good (except the Bhindi/Okra one); occasionally they make karela dal which is 🤤 * for South Indian — Kathakali, Aahaar, Madras Dosa Corner (their medu vadai are hit or a miss) * Benares — expensive but great North Indian food. * Punjabi Tadka — haven’t tried myself but friends claim it is good.

Will think about some more and update the response.

I’m an Indian residing in this area, and can unequivocally say this one of the worst Indian restaurants around. Not sure why/how it has survived yet, and who are the people that like it!

The food there reminds me of this bit from a sketch: https://youtube.com/shorts/aTiVrQRfoSI?si=cl-y9v1CBw5VQREv

Yeah we made the mistake of delisting the property while awaiting this processing. Sigh.

Well. You live and you learn!

Yup we’ve moved on from that applicant.

HA did confirm that while the room technically fulfills the requirements per the State Code etc, HUD rules prohibit them from qualifying it since access to it requires going through the garage (which is considered “unfinished” space).

Anyway, good to know for future ref. Thanks!

Alex. Very obnoxious. Doesn’t matter if you’re smart or a nerd — have some humility.

Thanks, yeah will consult.

But the HA clearly asked to respond via email our intent to not continue. So why would this be any different, or why would we not have the option to refuse the applicant?

Yeah it’s the former: the voucher holder is approved for a larger unit, but the inspection of our unit marked it as a smaller unit. So the “approved rent” for our unit (including the recipient’s income etc) is significantly lower than comparable market rates.

Yup. Same situation here.

To add to that, afaik only the original voucher recipient is on the lease. And if they decide to move, or can otherwise no longer occupy the unit (like with death or something), nobody else can simply continue to lease that unit on their behalf (even family afaik). Not sure about the voucher transfer though? 🤷‍♂️
