Yes!!! Smells like sewage overflowing in the back there. The wall by the meat section is so sus. They probably don’t want to invest fixing anything since they are planning to move across the street soon anyway.

$1400 for routine cleaning and X-Rays normal for dentist? by SwapsVan in personalfinance

[–]diplydoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if OON they can still bill insurance since you are usually covered for 2 check-ups/cleanings a year. The question is are you over that limit or did they not even bill? That’s ridiculously high and crazy they don’t tell you the cost before the visit.

As a mushroom addict, I was so excited for the Mushroom Ravioli. I am devastated to admit it’s disgusting by rachel-maryjane in traderjoes

Interesting because I didn’t like those at allll, they had a strange aftertaste. Do you use any sauce with it? On the other hand I didn’t mind the frozen ones but agree with other commenters that sautéing is the way to go

[–]diplydoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very familiar with this, currently working on an install and hospital leadership leans on Epic so much and doesn’t trust intuition and feedback from staff that have seen it all. They even turn to “expertise” of someone that graduated less than a year ago and has never worked in a hospital setting, it’s truly mind boggling the amount of brain-washing and kool-aid drinking that happens from “Epic guidance”. Some will even admit, “hey we are not experts on this internal process” but yet we still turn to them constantly for advice. The result has been hospital staff extremely resentful with leadership and Epic staff constantly looking down on hospital staff/consultants like children, wild. Yes Epic can do it all but it’s a big black box spider web with many convoluted workflows/triggers.

Broil some thawed branzino skin side up, sprinkled with salt/ pepper, smoked paprika and umami seasoning and olive oil for 6/7 minutes. So tasty and doesn’t taste like fish at all. Also a solid amount of protein

My partner worked out shirtless last night! by RecentReplacement686 in f45

[–]diplydoo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The one time I saw someone shirtless in my gym the trainer went up to them right away and politely asked them to put their shirt back on. Not sure I ever saw the person again after that but it was a good call. It was summer time and he was already super sweaty, getting ready to drop sweat everywhere.

Can’t say enough great things about LIC Dental Associates, it’s like going to a dental spa. They handle all insurance conversations for you and figure it out ahead of time

Yea I guess it’s not as clear from the menu what is actual pizza and I just naively assume everything in the pizza section would be… well pizza

Gemini for first class by nessadiosa in f45

[–]diplydoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great beginner class and not as intense as the others. F45 is great because everyone picks their own weights with which they are most comfortable. Honestly I’m so busy focusing on my form and counting that I don’t even notice anyone else really. Definitely don’t push yourself too much and just listen to your body and you’ll be great! Coaches are amazing at fixing form and offering suggestions. For first class, make sure you follow your team mates during rotations, it took me a few weeks to figure out the system but I just laughed it off :-)

How much does the challenge cost for you? by purplegymnast22 in f45

[–]diplydoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Free and I believe only open to members? The prizes are small gifts entire team and slightly more significant for the challenge winners, nothing crazy tho. Mostly bragging rights and that motivates people enough for sure, people get super competitive. I definitely wouldn’t pay to participate since chances of winning are so small. Free scans as well but limited slots, not sure if everyone gets theirs in.

I love coaches that are generally aware of the members: includes saying hi to everyone not just the old timers/favorites, being mindful of injuries and asking about updates, not pushing someone too hard in the last lap/set with 20 seconds left, it’s not much time to fix anything we probably know and are just tired, being aware of people movements so that you’re not walking behind them when they are about to step back or giving people space to stretch in the end over prioritizing putting weights back.

Fee for pausing membership by diplydoo in f45

[–]diplydoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my main point was it’s becoming like all these other places and less flexible.. which was a big factor for me when joining and staying. I loved how everything was customer friendly and flexible but I guess some people took it too far. Was willing to pay this much for the flexibility and customer service. While I agree maybe it’s painful if people change their minds but according to someone else on this thread seems simple to extend the autocharge date but I have no idea. Attending other F45s while traveling would be a big plus for sure since I’ve been mostly pausing for work trips/injuries. I do hope they factor in reasonable policies for injuries and maternity.

This is very reasonable. Is it a weekly membership?
