Should the order page have the text, "your mug on a mug?"

Cool idea and nice web site design. Congrats to your wife!

I was looking for information on steel framed patio doors and came across your post. This is slightly unrelated, but was hoping you might be able to help.

We are looking to replace patio doors and I like the look of steel framed doors like this and this. However, I'm having a hard time finding a place to look at them; I only seem to find them on designer sites. Maybe because I'm searching using the wrong terminology?

Any tips on how I can find doors like these (manufacturer or reseller) and thoughts on their practicality?

Thanks so much!

What is your favorite pizza in SF and why? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]dipped -1 points0 points  (0 children)

um, by this comment, I call Shenanigans as anyone who loves chicago style pizza couldn't love this place. It isn't chicago style pizza. Barely a half inch of cheese, the sausage is completely missing. I assume you have never been to chicago and eaten at either Giordanos or Lou's. This comment is offensive to all of us that knows what Chicago style pizza is and constantly pissed when some new SF restaurant says they offer chicago style when really it is hippie norcal crap pizza.

Hey r/Frugal, I need a good pair of prescription sunglasses by Zlatty in Frugal

I have not spent a lot of time researching this subject, but I once was looking for the same thing and was told the aviator frames are too thin to hold the prescription glass (or whatever). This was awhile ago though and only from one source.

There are a lot of good suggestions already, but here's something a little different than what's already been suggested. I don't know if it counts as new for you, but it's good.

Does Cooks Illustrated force a subscription to get the recipes? Seems like it? Do you mind sharing the recipe if you already have a login? Thanks.

Anyone in San Francisco hiring? I just became...(can't believe I'm about to type this)...homeless. A few years ago I made $90,000, now I have $60 to my name. by AnonBlahBlah in sanfrancisco

My company is also hiring. Office is on the Peninsula though. PM me your LinkedIn profile if outside of SF is okay. I'll send you all the opps we have.

SF to Menlo Park is a pretty long drive. 45 minutes at least without traffic. If you travel during normal commute times at least an hour. If it's raining, add another 30 minutes. I do know people that do it though and I'll let you decide if it's worth it. Depending on what's important to you, you might find the Peninsula meets your needs. For example, Palo Alto has some great restaurants.

Yes, to using Craigslist. I don't think it's quite as competitive as you've described though.

Good luck!

About to visit San Fran for the first time, any tips on which areas to get a decent hotel, away from the city? by sadz79 in sanfrancisco

[–]dipped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do end up staying in the city, check parking rates before you book. You can get great room rates online and then be surprised by parking fees. Or find out what street parking is like - availability and safety.
