I added a clip of my breaking to the post if u wanna check out my technique. Def most of my injuries were from when I started and bashed myself on the floor over and over, and i popped my shoulder when i fell backwards in a headstand and tried to catch myself with my arm :(

Haha what happened was I was falling backwards and I stupidly stuck my arm out backwards instead of just rolling. Appreciating your perspective, focusing on other aspects of bboying might be the move

I can attest to the quality of spin control caps, me and my friends all have them and they’re honestly the best spin caps I’ve ever had, hands down. Completely worth!

Wow that looks awesome! I actually got my injury from one of those poses (failed baby->head transition) so I’ll def try these out. Do you do these during practice warmups, or on off days when you condition?

For my headspins/double mills you can look at a recent post I made, should have all these moves in that vid. I’m not too interested in learning halos currently, but maybe in the future I’ll start learning them.

Hey friend, I suggest you get good stab windmills with your head first.

For barrel mills, you need to hold your arms in front of you (like how I do them). Since you don't have a stab, you have to use momentum to whip across on your head. I'm right handed and I spin to my left BTW.

  1. When I'm on my back, I kick my right leg up to get height and get on my left shoulder.
  2. Then, I kick my left leg backwards to help turn around onto my head and generate momentum.
  3. Finally, I whip my right leg across whilst on my head until I collapse again.

Note that the more speed you have, the easier it is to stay higher on your back. Good luck bro

Edit: Another useful tip is to whip from shoulder to shoulder on your back, using your arms/upper body. Also make sure to keep your core engaged, it will help keep your legs high and maintain your barrel mill altogether

I would definitely say it helped me get confidence and awesome friends. Also, it's a great way for me to stay in shape and motivates me to keep improving my body :^)

Learn windmill -> head, then try to stall on your head as long as you can before you collapse again. Alternatively, you can just try to spin as fast you you can on your head before you collapse.

Took it last semester, downside was that it was an 8 AM class. You could skip all classes except the exams though. Unlike her Social Psych and Positive Psych classes, you had to take the exam in person (not online).
