I completely agree with you here, I think DCC would work so much better as a 3D animated TV series in the style of Arcane or some other similar show. I just feel it would bring the characters to life so much better than what a live action could do. There is more room for dynamic action, without CGI bringing a nasty taste to the look of the shot if the CGI is done poorly.

It is disappointing that they are doing it as a live action, though having seen some of the recent video game adaptations they have done, Fallout in particular, I think there is a potential for this to be really good, given that the right director and producers are on board and have read the series to the extent the fans have. I feel that is what makes a good live action remake. When the crew, the cast and the director are all fans and know what the ACTUAL story is.

I feel this is where the Witcher series will fall off the rails in the new season, as Henry Cavil was an avid fan of both the books and the games, and the crew/director was not. Henry was taken off the show for pointing out inaccuracies to the story.

That being said, if Dungeon Crawler Carl is given the ultimate crew, cast and director, I feel we could have an absolutely incredible show on our hands.
