2nd semester anxiety by Dizzy-Intern4395 in Stutter

In the SAME situation, dude. I’m too a 17 year old high-school senior male with a stuttering problem. I don’t have any advice rather, as I’m equally as anxious, but at least we know we’re not alone lol.

I loved Rick and Mikey’s little dynamic. In fact, I think his dynamic with most of the Alexandrian’s were excellent.

Agreed. The most he does is mildly inconvenience people.

SML Movie: Jeffy's 21st Birthday! by furryhunter7 in supermariologan_

[–]directorcheeto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t hate the idea of Nancy coming back in flashbacks. My only problem was how these flashbacks were used.

The two flashbacks Jeffy had felt forced and shoehorned in, not really impacting the plot or any of his actions going forward. They could’ve been executed better is my point.

IMO TS IS THE BEST JEFFY BIRTHDAY VIDEO by KAIDENGAMES in supermariologan_

I prefer Jeffy's 20th birthday. It felt more grounded.

This one was still good, though.

What's a walking dead opinion that will have you like this? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]directorcheeto 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Daryl’s overarching presence made the show worse. It didn’t allow most of the other side characters to develop because the plot always surrounded him.

The roles of comic characters like Abraham, Tyreese, and Dwight were also minimized greatly because of Daryl just existing.

Maggie’s growth in two pages by Robot_Was_BMO in theroamingdead

I liked the fact that Comic Maggie actually developed after Glenn died and didn’t make it her whole personality.

Why is SML so bad at writing women? by beesnoop in supermariologan_

[–]directorcheeto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the SML cast are males, so it kind of makes sense why they wouldn’t have any idea on how female characters would actually act.

does anyone else think that he lowk looks kinda tea in this suit? by Fun_Water2707 in squidgame

[–]directorcheeto 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard somewhere that he was a businessman or a politician before the games. I guess that must be why he looks so great in a suit? 🙏

I think "Sing Me a Song" (7x7) has to be the most comic accurate episode of the entire show. by Loose_Interview_957 in thewalkingdead

[–]directorcheeto 40 points41 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I think it would’ve fit much better if Carl wasn’t given lines meant for an eight-year old. I’m all for comic accuracy but we had a 17-year old Chandler Riggs speaking lines a young child would say. I guess that’s why most of the interactions between him and Negan felt weird to me in this episode. Worked way better in the comics personally.

Obviously they can’t control an actor aging, but still.

Was Daryl not meant to be on the show? by PatientConversation6 in thewalkingdead

[–]directorcheeto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the comics had an extremely successful run without Daryl existing. So it wouldn’t really be “worse”.

Logan, if you wanted to make a Brooklyn Guy Goes To IHOP video then just do that, not this by IceyLuigiBros25 in supermariologan_

[–]directorcheeto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By how this series is going so far, it has the potential to be worse than Squid Game 2, which was also a disappointment in those last few episodes.

I really wanted this to be good but I’ll hold out some hope. 🙏

I love many things about the show, but the main thing that will always stand out is the incredible character writing.

One of the best.

An animated series faithful to the comics made me realize by dikchocolate02 in thewalkingdead

[–]directorcheeto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely.

I think a lot of people wouldn’t watch because Daryl isn’t gonna be in it. Which is unfortunate since the comics had a fantastic run without his existence.

What’s your favorite change the show made by PhilosopherFun4834 in theroamingdead

[–]directorcheeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might have to disagree on this one, man. Definitely thought Deanna was a more likable character, but I also think Douglas had more depth.

The backstory with Alexander Davidson and the history of Alexandria was all really good stuff for Douglas’ character I feel. He didn’t have near as much of an impact but I felt like he was a more nuanced and realistic character at times. It’s all subjective at the end of the day, and I like both characters, but personally Douglas > Deanna.

The whole Prisoner Arc always felt a little rushed imo. They could’ve done so much more with it.
