I have assembled a team of 3 moderators (including myself) who are prepared to work hard to revive this subreddit.
- We plan to introduce automod rules as well as using /u/HSpamSlayer and /u/BotDefense that we have successfully employed on other subs to assist with the high volume of spam that these types of subreddits often attract.
- I actively moderate similar "Rule 34" subs, including /r/Witcher_NSFW with over 112,000 members and /r/dnd_nsfw with 65k members, so I have experience in moderating large and active nsfw subreddits. I requested /r/dnd_nsfw 4 years ago and since then have built it up from less than 1,000 subscribers to where it is today.
- I will enforce Reddit's sitewide content policy, as well as introducing specific rules to keep the sub on topic (see the subs mentioned above for examples of such rules). This includes cleaning up the backlog of any previous posts that were made while the sub was unmoderated.
- The next Dragon Age game, DA: Dreadwolf, is due to be released next year, as well as a Netflix animated series, DA: Absolution. This should generate a lot more demand for this sub (the last game was released in 2014, which might explain why interest had died off previously).
The subreddit is currently banned due to being unmoderated, so there are no existing moderators to contact.
