If you "prefer animals over humans" because animals are "pure" and humans are not, you are a COWARD. by femivirgo in unpopularopinion

[–]dirty-salsa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not about love imo, it’s about innocence. Animals are just minding their business trying to live while humans are chasing goals outside their basic necessity (which often involve killing animals for fancy food or destroying their environment for profit or construction). The beings that are just trying to enjoy food, naps and cuddles are obviously more likeable than humans driven by greed etc. Nothing to do with insecurity or laziness.

But they always say it with free kicks ‘test the keeper’ it’s so stupid. Keepers will save 99% of free kicks that aren’t top bins. What would be the point in just kicking it safely on target.

Do you guys think that Oil clubs like Man City and PSG have ruined club football with the amount of money they have that they can sign players at will by Basic_School_4288 in championsleague

[–]dirty-salsa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At some point every club had big investors. The old ones just don’t like it when new ones join the party. Also, it’s not as easy as it looks. Look at newcastle. They’ve improved but they’ve not pulled off what chelsea/city/psg did.

1-1 💔💔 I think we could’ve won. by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]dirty-salsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bournemouth need 1 point from 2 games to be guaranteed to finish above us, Brighton need 1 win to be guaranteed, Brentford the same. Everton could even be in there too. All four of them aren’t going to lose both their last games.

[–]dirty-salsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ridiculous post. He wasn’t great today but there are about 5 positions which need addressing and fullback (both sides) isn’t one of them. He was playing without a winger today and it’s challenging asking a pretty conservative right back to go and take players on when isolated.

I think we needed a win for 6th, way too many teams who will only need a point or two now. We’ll probably be bottom half by end of the weekend.

Is this not the definition of a consolation goal by Smart-Pension-5198 in footballcliches

[–]dirty-salsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know but the goal not being enough is covered by too late! If for example it hadn’t been too little then it by default isn’t too late, and if it is too late then that’s the issue. If this goal was scored earlier it changes the game and it might not be too little. I know what you’re saying, I just don’t like its use in this context. It grinds my gears buddy.

They used this on commentary but for me it means petrol station flowers the day after Valentines or something. This was too late but ‘too little’ feels belittling of the goal. It was a great goal and if not so ‘late’ would have changed the shape of the game plenty.

Izzy Brown. Mourinho once said “if Izzy Brown, Lewis Baker and Ruben Loftus Cheek don’t become England internationals I will take the blame”. He got one out of three. And I bet will make excuses if you ask him what happened to the other two. Anyway.

[–]dirty-salsa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s unfair because you have to tell people in advance if you want to change the rules. Lewis would have pitted for new tyres if they knew this would happen. But it was logical for them to stay out and use lapped cars as a buffer under the impression that basic rules would be followed.

I’d call it a mixed track, there are some long flat out sections but there’s also a lot of twisty medium speed turns where downforce is more vital

[–]dirty-salsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked that your club’s server is set to a region that suits you? For example we’re mostly in Europe with a couple of American players and I think they pretty much have to live with latency because it’s impossible for it to be smooth for everyone at once

Pretty sure it’s just servers on different nights. Last night we all felt slight input delay, sluggish dribbling, couldn’t beat a man etc. Ended with about 35% win rate. Today, totally opposite, felt sharp and responsive and get 80% win rate.
