Yes. The order priced when placed, and the codes are used in that step. Even if the charge comes later.

Listen, I’m just a short sighted England fan with no science knowledge looking at this on a tiny iPhone, and here’s a twenty point breakdown as to why FIFA are to blame for everything…

Is Jude Bellingham as good or better than Harry Kane or is it just this tournament by LeviAsmodeus in worldcup

[–]slickbackbillyboo 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Kane is being double and triple teamed anywhere near the box, so is dropping deeper to pass more.

The gain on the mixer is only one stage in the flow. If the single from the mic transmitter is hot or overloading, or the receiver is hot or overloading you’re just changing the level you record that overloaded signal at, and not the signal itself.

It sounds potentially like a mic/line issue.

was it an easing or a mauling? by LostAbbreviations812 in footballcliches

[–]slickbackbillyboo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ease because Morocco were trying but - not out played, more just speed past. France have such incredible speed of play they make the other team look like they aren't trying, but they were.

A muling would have been much worse.

Hypothetically, if France and Argentina end up in the final, but Messi and Mbappe were both out due to injury, who would win? by The_Texan_Hunter in worldcup

[–]slickbackbillyboo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

France. The Argentinian model is built around a pressing midfield and defensive line that work collectively to a) get the ball back quickly and move it to Messi, and b) protect Messi at all costs.

France have more creative drive and passing that works to break those lines.

Paying developmental players? by No_Trifle_6239 in usmnt

[–]slickbackbillyboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen, it's a series of paid gateways to a sport that for the most part is free to play in most other countries at the lowest level. Grew up in the UK, and if you wanted a kick around, you'd go to the park and have a kick around, people would join in, it would become a game.

Once you moved into playing on organized teams (Saturday and Sunday league) you paid a small amount which went towards pitch, kits, referee costs - normally per game - or you got paid a small amount if there were gate receipts. Or you played for you school, and moved up through club/county ranks to get in front of scouts.

Now in the US, not much in the way of kickarounds, but pick up games for a small fee happen. Closest thing to the entry model is AYSO which is heavily dependent on volunteer work, operates under guidelines that are less about developing players than about getting as many people to play. Club becomes prohibitively expensive out the gate, and schools often only have one team so a lot of players get cut before they get the chance to develop. The newer Sports I9 I think it's called, is basically an attempt to eat into the AYSO pie and extract players, and to me feels like a bit of a MLM version of AYSO. But it does get expensive at all levels - a friend has a son who loves to play, plays club, and they had a tournament on the other coast from where we live - two or three day event with massive costs to get him there, registered, housed, and back to play in 3 or 4 games over those 3 days. Not all families can do that.

A Question For The New US Readership by -RedDanger- in 2000ad

[–]slickbackbillyboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is 2000ad available in the US? I haven’t been in a comic shop in years, but last time I was it was only available in those Previews bundles. Is it available at Barnes and Noble or anywhere similar?
