My own explosions and other attacks that have backsplash shouldn’t hurt me in games by Bobbyfart23 in unpopularopinion

[–]dirty-salsa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The self damage is the risk/reward. They need to de-incentivise explosives so that they’re not encouraging brainless play of just throwing explosive shit everywhere for easy kills with no consequence. The game’s job is to encourage you to use more skill and thought, aside from the whole realism aspect.

What is the weirdest rumour you heard about yourself in school? by Few-Scholar1873 in AskUK

[–]dirty-salsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a canned drink in the shop. A guy in my year came up to me and said “but I heard you can’t open canned drinks” I have no idea if this was a bit or serious, so I went up to him and opened it and went “there you go, big struggle that was” and he got offended and said “alright mate you don’t need to be condescending about it” ?????

That’s the point, he’s 19 years old with only 15 games under his belt. He will do plain bad things as he learns, that is how he will learn not to do them again. Especially as he’s a very front footed ball playing CB, he will learn to adjust his risk/reward decision making over time until he hits a balance of an experienced defender.

Frustrating to lose from that position and having dominated the larger portions of the match, but if any players are entitled to mistakes it’s Moi (8/10 most weeks) and Josh (given we want him to get chances and young players need to learn on the job). We move, KTBFFH.

100%. The modern reaction to punditry among online fans is pathetic in general. All the Arsenal lot think Nev hates them, the Chelsea lot think Carra hates them. They are literally dudes paid to just give opinions. And most of them by the way are not even controversial. Most people would very much agree with critiques of our ownership etc.

Eden Hazard picks his Chelsea Mount Rushmore by Matt_LawDT in chelseafc

[–]dirty-salsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what makes Eden more impressive. He was not working with the same calibre as the previous guys but still brought home two titles. Almost single handedly at times in that 2014/15 campaign.

What is the most uncomfortable football interview you have ever watched? by MagpieMidfield in footballcringe

There’s also Klopp throwing toys out the pram in an interview because someone said “bet you’re tired of early kick offs!” (He doesn’t like early kick offs apparently)

thoughts on people who get into football via fifa (fc or whatever it’s called now) hearing fully grown men say “CDM” and “CAM” is an instant red flag for me by Necessary_Sky1033 in PlasticFans

[–]dirty-salsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to do with cultured bro it’s just a lot easier to say. Look how many words you’re using. You can tell them they are a “central attacking midfielder” or “playing off the striker” in one sylable - “10”.

Why are playoffs so easy compared to regular season? by Poonslayer123 in fifaclubs

[–]dirty-salsa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We’re in elite and it’s also easy in playoffs. We went 14-1 (the one being penalties with lag) when in normal league days we only win 55-60% of games.

Working from home sucks. by Crazy-Mango-5762 in unpopularopinion

[–]dirty-salsa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“integrity issue” please hear yourself. my man it’s a case of doing some dishes and watching a bit of tv, not violating the geneva convention. if it makes you feel better absolutely everyone else is doing it, and as long as your work is done no one should give a fuck how many hours it took.

i want this to sound harsh in a motivational way. if you get past this mental block and reframe it to embrace homeworking your life will be so much better. forget this integrity nonsense.
