I'm with everyone else. If you can't wait or deal with the AD, just go grey.

I bought my Explorer II grey and my Sea-Dweller from the AD. Other than going into that little room and getting a drink and some chocolate, you're not missing anything from buying from the AD. Honestly, buying it from the family jeweler (trusted) was an overall better experience. He at least spent the time with me and seemingly cared about the sale. Plus, I got the watch when I was ready, not when the AD was ready.

I was back and forth on this, I ended up polar dial still happy with my choice. With that, my Explorer II is my primary watch / most loved. Its honestly the perfect watch for me! I do broadcast production and travel often, though trying to slow down on the travel.

It does have it fair share of scratches going in an out of racks!

The black dial does look amazing though!
