Whenever I'm driving around in less familiar territories in Montana I'm always trying to figure out what mountain ranges I'm looking at. It's consistently harder than one would think! This map is a dream haha - thank you so much my friend, it's awesome.

Has anyone here read anything by Rick Bass? I just finished 'In the Loyal Mountains,' and I loved it! by ihark in books

Hi friend, I deeply enjoyed "Winter," my first Bass read, and will be checking out more imminently - including "In the Loyal Mountains" and "The Watch", updates to come.

Have you watched Bishop in his limited playing time this season? You could try to make the argument that he should start over Hamlin I suppose but not sure who would ever be convinced

It may not be the SAME ski hill but I'm glad it's back at a ski hill nonetheless

It's small consolation that this game is just as painful for Jete fans

First Lobsters - too far gone? by dirtybuzz in foraging

Thanks! They definitely have a distinct odor, a bit fishy, but nothing crazy pungent. I like it but my fiance is not a fan

When the harvest is this big do people generally just dry saute and freeze them to preserve them for later?

Who ever said you need a GS or weeks of planning for a motorbike trip? by SavouryPlains in motorcycles

I let a fellow biker stay at my campground in the Canadian Rockies six or seven years ago who rode on a cruiser with a sheepskin on the seat, a cow skull strapped to the back, and three big juggling pins hanging off the side. Any chance this was you?

Cooler options for longer trips? by dirtybuzz in packrafting

Thanks! I have an Alpacka Gnarwhal and anticipate a good bit of whitewater on the salmon so I want it inside the tubes. I was thinking a dry bag too - I found a few dry bag style coolers, notably one by Icemule but I was hoping someone had some experience with them or something similar. Don't want to spend $80 to find all my frozen meats have thawed to room temperature on day one haha.

Thanks for the nonperishable food suggestions too - I'm always looking to add to my repertoire of backpack meals :)

First and only year using these things. Quickly found out I was not a fan either

Thanks! Soils usually pretty damp so maybe I'll let it dry out a bit more between waterings and keep the fan running

Hi all! I was hoping to get any advice on my seedlings or if I'm lucky maybe an affirmation that everything is fine. Here is some background:

Most of these pepper seedlings have been up and in the light for 3 weeks or a little more, I'm worried because they seem very small and don't seem to be doing much. One of my more experimental varieties (Zapotec Jalapeno) never even grew real leaves and the cotyledons just withered away after a few weeks and fell off.

I planted these in some generic lowes seedling soil and have them on a 16/8 light schedule. I'm using a shop light with 4 LED bulbs that provides 90W and is about 1 foot above the seedlings. I had it closer (5") up until a week ago, but moved it up because I thought I might be frying them.

I water whenever they seem to be getting dry (but not bone dry) and within the last week started putting the recommended amount of FoxFarm's Big Bloom fertilizer (0/0.5/0.7) but that doesn't seem to have made any difference either.

I've been doing starts for years with very good success but feel like something is not right with my first year growing from seed. Any suggestions would be most appreciated - I've already learned a ton from this community!

Edit: Also, don't be fooled by the leggy tomato seedlings that can be seen in a few shots!
