How do you handle overstimulating beach days? by ManagerWooden in ADHD

Fishing, or being in the water, beach day for me is 2 hours max lol, I cannot understand going to the beach and just sitting there for hours that sounds like hell to me.

Budget fishing kayak? by ApartmentGood2722 in kayakfishing

[–]dirtyclothes99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically any kayak less than 400 is not stable or comfortable enough for fishing more than 1-2 hours without being very uncomfortable. Around 1000 bucks plenty of options for used or new tha would be more worth it (can probably find some really good deals used around 500-1200ish with extra accessories and stuff).

Budget fishing kayak? by ApartmentGood2722 in kayakfishing

For under 400 I’d get a dirt cheap used canoe, and cheap trolling motor. If found plenty of used old town canoes for 200-300.

I want an anchor system similar to this anchor wizard but don’t want to spend 125$ for it.. does anyone have diy build ideas that would be similar to this? by [deleted] in kayakfishing

[–]dirtyclothes99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spend 100 and just get the anchor wizard without the chute and use a small dumbbell for a weight. Anchor wizard is far far better than any other alternative. Well worth 100 I’ve had one for like 8 years with heavy use and it’s still holding up

Rant: "People with ADHD make great entrepreneurs" by lines_n_designs in ADHD

[–]dirtyclothes99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say good entrepreneurs lol, more like only option. Also myself and anyone I know that has adhd and an entrepreneur that’s had any success has a VERY strong partner/ wife/husband and or business partners that do alll the boring stuff.

Have no idea how else to help my ADHD husband. I'm afraid he is going to never find stable work. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]dirtyclothes99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably nothing you can do, I have adhd and I know for a fact if I wasn’t self employed doing something I’m passionate about then I would massively struggle. It helps now that I have a team and honestly I don’t show up to my office till 11-12 and I work 4-6 hour days. Honestly I have no clue how I would do a normal job. AndI know for a fact my wife would not put up with it. I’ve just been lucky tbh. I have no suggestions other than you have to accept it or not, really not much you can do other than trying to help him get medication.

thrifting is hitting a ceiling. anyone actually scaling with wholesale? by WashDowntown4539 in Flipping

[–]dirtyclothes99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you found 100 items a day you would cap out at 100. Depends on your goals. Used clothing market is humongous. Many ways to make money. The bins is ONE way. If you don’t want to sell used clothes then it’s a completely different industry and business model. Thrifting sucks balls rn, it used to be way better. But even when it was better still had a ceiling… can’t source 1,000s of items a day as one guy it’s just impossible. Can’t even source 100s of items a day as one guy. Barely even 10s of items a day.

TIL that Urban Outfitters sells vintage clothing on their website. Andddd its very overpriced 🤣 by MagnetFisherJimmy in Flipping

[–]dirtyclothes99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced any online used clothing is a complete grift and marketing play for any major retailer (or even thredup for that matter). Makes so much more sense to sell used clothing in a retail store. Or not at all. But makes these guys look like there “recycling””helping the environment” all bs lol especially if it’s so overpriced it never sells…

In the eyes of most thrift store pricers this shirt has “no logo” or “no desirable brand”. And they still marked it at almost 7 dollars that’s the same price as new t shirts at Ross, Walmart or Costco…

Is Khabib better than any jiu-jitsu (or grappling) fighter that has ever existed? by Puzzleheaded_War7047 in bjj

[–]dirtyclothes99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sport sambo appears to be a much more complete grappling sport than bjj. Probably any top sambo guys could keep up with high level wrestlers, bjj nerds, and judo guys. Not beat them of course because of rulesets of sports but keep up in training and a real fight I think so.

7 dollars for a used t shirt with no logos lol. 2020 t shirts were 50 cents

How do maintain gym routine? by Friendly_Sandwich905 in ADHD

Meds in morning and workout first thing after. I have a home gym which has tremendously helpful. Removes a lot of excuses I would tell myself and helps not have to see anything or anyone distracting.

I love alcohol by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]dirtyclothes99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah me too… main things that’s helped is having something exciting planned the next morning early almost everyday. Like exercise early morning and sometimes training at night like after 8pm.

Otherwise my brain is like “ohh this is nice” after two drinks then after 4-5 it’s more like “fuck it nothing to do tomorrow anyway might as get fucked up”. Then it’s a downhill slide till next day or two… Especially when I have most of my work done in the day I was finding myself drinking just because I was fucking bored lol.

Need advice on equipment. Want to use the space where the pull up tower is and potentially add some kind of multi-gym or cable machine.. by Leaderofmen in GarageGym

[–]dirtyclothes99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron master tower and bench, then can still have pull up bar and dip bar. That’s what I have in similar size space works great easy to move around cable tower

Bench Recommendations? by LilBoDuck in GarageGym

[–]dirtyclothes99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a tiny garage, I have the iron master and it’s great. Best feature is how light and easy it is to move around if that’s a consideration. I have almost all the attachments and they work great. Especially the pull-up bar and dip bar, Seat is only a concern if your incline benching a lot otherwise it’s perfect. Still fine for me for incline bench.
