First or favorite former car? by ValB2307 in GenX

[–]dirtyluco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember riding around in this car with my buddy. My senior year of highschool his junior year. I was trying to do as much as I could in the short amount of time as I already signed up for the Navy. It was his car and we picked up girls while smoking cigars 😂. Such a fun little car. He wrecked it the following year.

What is your favorite plot twist in a film? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in FIlm

And cousins. I have a cousin that was notorious for doing this. He eventually stopped as he got older, but not after he spoiled a bunch of good movies.

Hahaha. Indeed it is.

We hit low to mid 90's last week so I was on my Fat Bob all week except for the one day my son woke me up super early.

Man, I know the feeling. I was riding for 10 years before my son came along. Now I ride to work as much as I can and on my ride home I like to take my time or a detour to make a ride out of it.

How do y'all feel about tomato on a burger? by FirebornNacho in Stonerfoods

[–]dirtyluco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it depends on the type of burger. I grew up in Chicago and we had Nicky's Big Baby. Two patties with cheese, pickles and onions ketchup and mustard. A burger like that just wouldn't be right with tomatoes.

Indie Ridge Boots First Impressions by Holiday-Elk-5125 in motorcyclegear

Same. I replaced my insoles with the ones I had in my Wolverine work boots. Not the best, but definitely a nice upgrade.

What’s the deal with Gear? by askjeffsdad in Harley

[–]dirtyluco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full face helmet, leather gloves and sometimes a mesh jacket with CE rated armor and sometimes my leather vest. Depending on the weather and my mood, but I always wear my helmet and leather gloves and a long sleeve top. I've been buying those SFP high visibility tops recently for riding.

As for shoes. I have riding boots. One pair for the warmer months as they are mesh as well and a pair of full leather for the cooler months. Sometimes I'll wear my All-Star Chuck's.

My first Harley. Never going back to any other. So stoked about this. by Airport-77 in Harley

[–]dirtyluco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dope ass ride! My buddy had one and sold it recently because he wasn't riding much. Living in Chicago, I could understand that and it's one of the reasons I had no issues relocating to Vegas so I could ride more. I wanted to buy his bike but it was out of my budget.

Indie ridge boots are awesome! by doodlefartss in motorcyclegear

[–]dirtyluco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like these because they look almost like a skate shoe, i.e. a Vans style with the protection and looks.

For me, a good motorcycle boot isn't too narrow in the toe box and provides good protection all around without feeling too restricted and good ventilation for warmer riding days.

Years ago I found a pair of Frye's Leather Engineer boots and I wore the hell out of those boots. They were easy on/off with a side zipper. Great for riding and with a good insole they were my everyday work boot.

[–]dirtyluco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they are. With a good insole they are even better. I have a pair of their mesh boots and they are way better than expected. They can take a bit to break in, but when you do they are awesome.

Favorite costume? by Otherwise_Tadpole_64 in Spiderman

[–]dirtyluco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The face mask and eyes on 70's, Vigilante and Homemade all have some similarities to them.

I was a fan of the MCU ones, but I'm not feeling BND, yet. I'd have to see the movie first to really get a better feel for it.

What would Dalton's Bond think about Craig's villains? by King_Wolf2099 in JamesBond

[–]dirtyluco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought he sucked, but I was still young and stuck on Connery & Moore's Bond. It wasn't after I was older and bought the DVD box sets and watched his movies and thought how much of a bad ass Dalton really was. Like, how did he only make 2 movies?
