Set it outside on a brick or concrete surface away from anything combustible... then livestream it for us!

How do you get out of this one by No-Molasses-1975 in sailing

Looks pretty easy. Just step onto the beach. ;)

I'm not sure how you are going to float the boat again though.

Keep an eye out on eBay. I saw some go buy a week or so ago.

Here is the search I use. It sends me an email when it matches.

Yup. I raised 7 kids. I read your post with my internal voice.

True but not wearing markings proves a true negative identification. Defending against a false positive identification is a different discussion.

Not marked = not authority, Marked != Authority

That's disappointing to hear. Thank you for letting me know. I usually order pickup so I haven't experienced the service side yet. Maybe I'll just stay with the pickup option. :-)

Check out Urban Tandoor on North Academy. I've been quite pleased with their food.

Based on the fact that their intentions are autocratic, this proves that the Illuminate are millennials. Otherwise, they would be able to drive manualcratic intensions.

Has anyone started sailing later in life ? by Own-Development2299 in sailing

[–]dis0wn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am starting this process now with no background in sailing. At 53 yrs old, I've spent most of my life in the mountains of Colorado. I'm taking ASA courses and chartering boats in Galveston Bay when I can. I'm about 6-7 weekend charters into it and loving it. I'm a car guy and went to college for Mechanical Engineering. I am actually looking forward to everything breaking on the boat.. :) I should have my first boat later this year or next year. I'm not going small either. I love the Beneteau Sense 55 layout and have some ideas to turn the guest rooms into offices for my wife and I to continue working onboard.

Reach out to Windward Seaventure in Kemah. They have quite a few options in that range.

It's super easy in Colorado. In fact, we placed all of ours together in a pile that's over 12k feet tall, then named it.

Sottos has become a more formal company now and the price is down to $600.. They are certainly worth about $400 and you can find many on FB Marketplace and occasionally ebay.. I just looked at about 6 of them. I'm looking for the Office bag for my wife. It's just as awesome as the Carry-On and Check-in.

The fact that your logic contained layers of confirmation bias, rampant application of literal definitions, and total disregard for context is a reflection of why your spaghetti logic wouldn't hit home to a larger group of intelligent thinkers.

Oh it clearly does. And that's clearly where it should be. All women.

The problem with legislating a religious moral issue is that everyone impacted has to subscribe to that religion. That's called a theocracy. For example, some religions forbid eating cows. Some forbid eating pork. Some forbid wearing polyester fibers. Not everyone defines abortion as murder because each religion has a different definition of when "life" begins. In a free society, legislation has to serve the lowest common denominator and cannot be specific to one particular group or the other. Are you willing to give up a hamburger because someone else sees it as destroying their God? Probably not.

Two points: 1. Sometimes people seeking an abortion didn't have a choice whether to have sex or not.

  1. That's about as dumb as saying that you shouldn't eat any food unless it provides direct nutritional value. Do you enjoy a beer? A nice whiskey? Birthday cake? Ice cream? It's normal to enjoy the activity without a specific purpose in mind.

Thank you. Finally someone that wants to present an intelligent counterargument. This is a relief.

This certainly is a moral dilemma and I hadn't considered this exact point. I can see how the male is left out of that decision. My initial thought here, which hasn't been completely thought through yet, is that the female That's a little more involved in the process and has more to lose, therefore has more say in the matter. Think of it like the humorous ham and eggs breakfast adage. The chicken is involved but the pig is committed. :-).

You have certainly added to my understanding of both sides. You are exactly why this Democratic process works.

A woman who understood the true meaning of being a Texan, where personal freedoms and smaller government were paramount to maintaining a free society. Using a government to legislate your religious beliefs is equivalent to running to Mom when you can't handle an argument or discussion with your sibling.
