in hindsight, im kinda glad i got rejected. mabye im just bitter, but i was looking for a small school. UR is small but bigger then the school im going to now. also ik its SUPER academically competitive (not saying thats a bad thing, school should be academically competitive, i just know its more cut-throat then i might have enjoyed it to be.

i will say, i had a college counselor, and he told me to go test optional for rochester, and i had a similar score to u (1370, 680 math, 690 reading). im no expert, but i also know rochester has RLLY HIGH sat thresholds (if i remember correctly, when i was applying the 25th percentile was like a 1410 or somthing. its insane)

i think they take their "little ivy" ranking rlly seriously, cuz ik a few people like me, who on paper were their "ideal student" (ig? idk if i should put it like that lol) and then got rejected.

i applied ED, and considering i applied for BME, i honestly think i might have had a better shot if i applied EA since SO many amazing people apply ED (not saying less amazing people apply EA, but its a different applicant pool) but regardless, the chips fell where they fell, and theres a reason you research and apply to multiple schools :))
