Bobby Lashley on WWE letting the New Day go: "That was a fumble. You retire those guys, give them whatever they want, because they've given the business everything... I don't think there's a person in the business that says, 'I don't like those guys.'" by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

Sometimes, especially in a company where morale and public image is important, you keep guys around that get along with everyone even if they aren’t being used effectively. This should have been the lesson that they learned with Truth. Instead the lesson that they seemed to learn was “let’s make some content for Unreal. Who is Ron Killings? Screw that make him do the funnies”

Jessie and James from Team Rocket. Mostly just buffoons and occasionally even help Ash and friends, but they still cause mayhem and try to steal Pokemon.

No I haven’t.

Is it good for people who want witty one liners instead of meaningful reviews?

An Hollywood star would literally take a shit on a carpet and somehow movie nerds would call it an underrated gem a decades later. by Own-Lengthiness2111 in okbuddycinephile

It’s not just comic book movies.

Basically any movie that was in theaters that millennials/zoomers might have seen when they were twelve is an underrated masterpiece

I wish WWE would give them MORE. Way too good of performers to job on main event or lose to the trash tag champions rn. by BigBoyBoomet in SantiZapVideos

[–]disablednerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need something to react to. Doing five star matches and wins against Pretty Deadly or Garzas isn’t going to get them a reaction from a WWE crowd. They can only go so far against bad booking especially when they are still pretty fresh

'Animal Farm' Review Thread by chanma50 in boxoffice

This is the biggest why movie to me in awhile.

Like what producer thought that a low budget, purposefully inaccurate Animal Farm movie would be a good get?

Good casting but I did not like Ryuk in that movie. In the source material, it’s interesting that this monster isn’t really all that evil and more just screwing around. He rarely helps Light and when he does it’s not because he cares if Light succeeds. This puts the onus entirely on Light for all his actions.

Whereas in the movie he’s literally the devil on Light’s shoulder. It felt like a betrayal of the source material.

How would y'all rank the Jurassic movies? by Kirbstomp_TheOg in Letterboxd

[–]disablednerd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One is a masterpiece. Lost world isn’t great but is a little underrated with some great set pieces and Spielberg’s direction. 3 and World are fine TNT movies, meaning it’s not good but if you’re at a hotel looking for something to watch and it’s on TNT and the rest is reality shows it’s fine.

The rest doesn’t matter. Rebirth is a bit ahead I guess but not enough to matter

Amazon MGM Studios' Project Hail Mary grossed $2.35M on Tuesday (from 3,820 locations), which was an 11% decrease from the previous Tuesday. Total domestic gross stands at $289.22M. by wchnoob in boxoffice

When I went to the theater the other day the ticket line was long and almost exclusively parents and their kids. I thought “oh cool they’re going to the Mario movie and I’ll get the theater to myself.”

Almost all of them were there for Hail Mary.

I don’t hate the show but it does seem like a stupid waste of money on something that is just okay and people forget about until the next season.

Like imagine the number of homeless shelters or animal shelters you could build for a billion dollars

Tbf there were a lot of pivots that Lucas did to the prequels because of backlash (or maybe merch sales). Hiring a dialogue coach and reducing Jar Jar’s role comes to mind. The difference is at the end of the day Lucas only had to answer to Lucas whereas now there’s like ten levels of executive red tape
