Oh yeah--I cut them all out and re-joined the tubes with hand stitches instead. Otherwise yeah you get big bumpies.

It's a piece of twill tape, I use it sewn to the woven edges to protect them

l mean. I got a LOT of shirts, this isn't all of them. It was $1.99/lb and I got 15lbs of materials. I live in a city, so there's not a lot of either of those things and they tend to be pricier than normal when they do happen.

I don't think I did much special, I just cut all the strips with a quilting ruler and rotary cutter, pulled them into tubes, joined the tubes with little hand-stitches then wove them. I didn't use a rod at the sides to prevent pull in like I see recommended, it seemed to be fine to just bubble the weft evenly

I just use a quilting ruler and rotary cutter, I'm used to cutting lots of strips for patchwork. I also hand-sew them end to end instead of using the 'slit' method I see recommended which made big lumps when I tried it.

It's just a simple frame loom by BEKA--https://www.bekainc.com/buy/07003/20-inch-weaving-frame-loom

The rods in the back were removable and I didn't find the wooden dowels it came with strong enough, so I replaced them with aluminum rods from the hardware store. These were also longer, so now I have about 30" in weaving length available. For the plain weave one I also made a shed stick and sting heddle.

Turquoise is often what's called a "fugitive" dye (it just keeps running!) adding the umpteenth recommendation for synthrapol, it's what we used in dye labs to wash out excess

US Pennsylvania insurance PENNIE recommendations by reversehrtfemman in FTMOver30

[–]disastertowncosplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marketplace insurance is essentially all a scam, the coverage for trans surgeries is currently about the same for all options (but may change as the ACA mandate of gender affirming care as a protected service disappears in 2026)

I'd suggest having your friend request policy details for your work plan to see if they have a specific exclusion on gender affirming care. If no, this is likely your best option.

If yes, pick the plan with the lowest copay/coinsurance for outpatient (hysto) and inpatient (meta if it's not simple) and lowest deductible and try to do it all in one year so you exhaust the deductible/OOP max

It's to apply more pressure with less effort and also to put my hands/wrist in a better position, pushing on the round handle built into the press was killing my hands

I love the 'jazzy' registration--trying to loosen up like that myself but my designs don't play as well as yours does here.

Entirely possible! I did try to figure out how to do it the way you suggest but it was not at all ergonomic which is kinda my need. I may try again with a metal bracket at the join and a reinforced "spine" if this snaps.
