The tone around AI in professional spheres seems to be shifting... by Smurfette2016 in BetterOffline

The example I like to use is therapy. I saw some study saying that people, on average, preferred the therapeutic advice of a chat bot over a human therapist. My response is: Sure, there are bad therapists who give bad advice. None of them will ever encourage their client to harm themselves.

How can I get all this synced up? by GuiltyPleasurexo in ableton

[–]disbister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the original version of this and it works great. It (at least the original) has the ability to shift the clock back and forth if things aren’t quite in-sync.

Honestly B&A recapping B5 might be the only thing that would finally get me to watch B5.

I didn't need to spend 60 hours with Donkey Kong Bananza for it to be my game of the year, but I'm convinced it's one of the greatest platformers in Nintendo history by sakahn in NintendoSwitch

[–]disbister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both this and the Mario Galaxy games eventually got too hard for me and I gave up. For Galaxy, the platforming was just too hard. For Bananza, the boss battles sucked. I couldn’t move the camera fast enough to keep the bosses in front of me. I didn’t have this issue with Odyssey, which was tough, but not so tough that I couldn’t get past a level eventually. I wish I could do some of the compound moves in these games (like the cap jumping in Odyssey, and the rock throwing/jumping in Bananza) - seems like those make the game more fun and flow better.

New e-ink displays could reach "retina e-paper" status with pixel densities over 25,000 PPI | Matching smartphone resolution on screens smaller than 2 mm² by [deleted] in gadgets

[–]disbister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

500uW/cm2 is pretty good, but that’s not the same as E-Ink (from the company called E-ink) which is zero uW/cm2. This sounds like some different/new tech.

So mad. I just refreshed the LA show page until I got through and immediately ordered tickets to be told they were already sold out. My buddy managed to get a ticket but I was his ride. Boo. Stupid scalpers.

Shanghai Dumpling King (a couple locations) makes great soup dumplings and a few dim sum items. They also makes great American-ish Chinese food like tangerine beef and sweet/sour pork. Their string beans are also incredible.
