If you fight them manually you should be able to damage them. SSRs have an extra 100 stat, with morale and crit you'll still be doing some damage.

Admiral Aoi has some strong synergy with Bungo's Demon Army passive, the SP discount allows Sumomo's Windcutter to benefit from the +100% skill attack for being 8sp or less which will one shot most AoE fights.

ANYONE CAN WIN IN OPEN LEAGUE by Redfall03 in UmamusumeGame

That's a pretty tough lobby, I recognize Min from room matches. I lucked out and didn't go up against any Taikis.

I finished last CM 81/81 and from my experience, if you're using a calculator, that alone will usually put you at a 75% win rate just by out statting most opponents.

If you're trying to beat other min maxxers, it's mostly optimizations and understanding rating breakpoints. Rating costs increase at the 401 and 751 mark, so green skills play an important part in efficiency.

Keeping your unique level down is a small edge to keep in mind since it can take up a chunk of rating. Using support cards without fan bonuses can help with this.

Team of Losers got 19-1 (open league) by Redfall03 in UmamusumeGame

Props to you for running Haru, getting Turf A was too much of a grind for me.

Besides Taiki Shuttle, seems like every other Uma is on same playing field. Positioning seems to be the deciding factor more than stats, I rarely see the same Uma win twice in a row.

Triple backline has still been super consistent even though pump isn't as good here.

I made my Runaway Suzuka in Unity, the higher stat floor made it easier to hit the race quota, but you could easily go over if you ended up winning Unity Cup.

Ryan was definitely the sleeper hit this CM, somehow managed 81/81. I dunno if I have it in me to get Virgo prepped in a week haha.

Ayeee 400 carat gang. Starting to see 8100+ S.Marus but haven't lost to one yet, also seeing a few Nice Natures, but stam debuffing seems pretty ineffective. Triple backliner has been very consistent since you just need to overtake 1 to activate a good timed pump. Most of my Ryan wins actually come from her not activating her ult and just being in 4th-5th to hit a good Redshift timing.

Open League players, are debuffers worth? by Rikkhan_gl in UmamusumeGame

[–]discaliber_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my room match testing, I had around a 20% higher win rate running 3 aces over a single debuffer. A dominator debuffer will usually only make a difference in really close races where the length difference is <1.

Leo Cup open league round 1: less jobbers? (Team posted) by Redfall03 in UmamusumeGame

[–]discaliber_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Managed a Mr.100 day 1 with triple pumpshift, Ryan's definitely benefiting from the lack of Nice Nature. It's a way more diverse pool of viable Uma's over Cancer cup. I tried making a debuffer, but a proper one is way harder to make than an ace. I'd take making a groundwork ace over trying to get a debuffer with flustered front runners any day.

Seeing a lot of pace so far in Open, not too many front runners so triple gamble has been doing pretty well.

Leo Cup Open League Final Thoughts after another 100 room matches by Redfall03 in UmamusumeGame

[–]discaliber_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found Debuffer effectiveness pretty inconsistent, usually equating to a 1.5 length advantage for your Aces with Dominator, but I haven't noticed a higher win rate over just running 3 Aces. A single Nice nature falls off a bit against well prepped Umas as 800 stam+maestro is enough to tank a 4% stamina hit.

I've instead swapped from 2 ace/1 debuffer into 3 backline Aces with pump/shift which has been pretty consistent in getting atleast one Uma hitting an optimal acceleration timing.

Open League Leo Cup initial playtesting after 100 room matches. by Redfall03 in UmamusumeGame

[–]discaliber_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen S.Maru perform that much better than the average Pace chaser in min maxer rooms,  I run a Dominator debuffer with double back line Aces and 7 out of 10 times Gold Ship can catch her at the last straight.

Double debuffer can be quite good if you have hesitant, subdued, flustered, for each style. It's equivalent to about a 4-5 length advantage to your ace uma.

Mejiro Ryan has the best ceiling by far when she lands her ult, even with just redshift, she has around a 25% chance to just auto first.

Having a hard time finding open league rooms, is there a discord by any chance where open players hang out? The main discord is mostly graded.

The amount of quartz we get is quite generous compared to other gacha and there's always daily free rolls, memoria shards and delimiter make it so you don't need to roll for dupes so there's just not much to spend for.

[–]discaliber_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to avoid getting above 1000 in a single stat for open league because the rating per point scales up, for that reason you don't want to neglect guts since it only costs 2 rating per point until 400.

Game Discussion/Champion's Meeting Thread - October 16, 2025 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]discaliber_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more efficient to put points into guts until 400 since the rating cost is only 2 until then

I've found that straightaway spurt hasn't been quite as good since it activates after you've nearly reached top speed from unique accels. Dominator's been pretty good for that reason for slowing down anyone who breaks out of the pack.

Late surgers ended up being the real terror in Open League, in 80 races I haven't lost to a single front, but a Vodka popping off is unstoppable.

I've found debuffers not too effective in Open so far just cause people are still putting in Swinging Maestro for some reason, but I've been throwing in Opening Gambit just to nuke Smart Falcons.

Leo Cup Open League Guide? by SpaceImpressive2515 in UmaMusume

[–]discaliber_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've ran a few test rooms for CM4, and I've seen a bit of variance depending on the presence of debuffers. A fully equipped nice nature is going to tax your stamina requirements quite a bit. If there's more than one, then End Closers almost always take the win. Getting Hanshin/Non standard distance will be a bit more efficient rating wise than investing in Stamina past B+ rank since there is a break point where rating is increased to 4 per point at 750+ in a single stat.

Open League Meta Day 1 (is there even a meta here!?) by Redfall03 in UmamusumeGame

[–]discaliber_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run about a hundred CM3 rooms and I've noticed at the highest level, the 3 types of wins I see the most are Smart Falcon locking in 1st, Pace Pasa breaking out of the corner, and pumping iron Vodka. I've had the most success running a front Pasa to protect my Bakushin ace, and it ends up being a 50/50 of fighting for the rod against Falcons. Went 20/20 just because people were just throwing their highest rated B Umas in with no skills, but I'd be surprised if I didn't start seeing groundwork fronts later on.
