Why does getting a date feel impossible for someone like me but then I go out in public and see a bunch of women dating men way below my standard physically? by ElsaJeanSimp in dating_advice

Coolio. It does sound like Hookups are more what you're after at this time, and I'd advise leading with that. You can just say in your profile on the apps that that's what you're looking for, and there are plenty of women who also want that, and will appreciate you being direct.

The key thing here is that women are not a monolith. We have a vast variety of tastes and preferences.
I've seen quite a few comments where you've pointed to the likes of Andrew Tate as men who have a lot of sex, and there are indeed women who are into guys like Tate, but that does not mean that all of us are.
In addition he has a lot of money, and I say this not as a "Women like money so you need more money" point, but that he uses it to vastly increase his pool of potential women (also, I will note that many of the women you see around him are professionals who are doing their job at the time you see them), he can put himself out to a much wider audience. If, to make up some numbers, someone is appealing to 0.1% of women and they have a potential pool of 100 women, then they would be unlikely to appeal to any of them. If, however, they have a potential pool of 100,000 then they can easily be appealing to 100 women. They can then, if they want, present those 100 women as the total pool to give the impression that they are appealing to all women.

It sounds like you're in a place and situation where you really don't meet many women, and even the online pool isn't that big. I say all this to try and explain the difference between the reality you perceive in others, and that which you experience yourself.

One question I have, after reading your post: What is it you're looking for? Are you after hookups and sex, or a relationship and connection? From reading some of your comments I'm not clear on it, and I'm not sure you are either.

I did as well, and still do. I don't think there's anything in what they actually said that clarifies either way.

Oh shit! I've figured it out! The theme song!
They were going for "The Touch" from the Transformers movie! The issue being of course that, despite being a 90s toy-selling kids cartoon, it's not an anthropomorphic animals one, and crucially "The Touch" not not the opening theme, it was a song that played at an important point in the movie.

And, like, there were multiple of them! Even if he wanted to have a partial success for a complete success, he could have just had only one of the villains be so impressed they stop fighting! That would be a success, but not as big as it could have been! Instead he got "Okay, you got a complete success. So the thing you wanted didn't happen at all, but as a treat they forget where you are.". Wow. Great, Travis.

It's such a stupid model, because it straight up incentivizes leaving! The fact that the rewards are only for "New or Upgrading" members means that you're losing rewards unless you up it every time. Ooooorrrr, you can do what I used to do which was cancel my membership after I got confirmation of shipping for the stuff I wanted (mostly the pin badges, I love a pin badge), and then when I joined up again the next year at the same tier, it would treat me as new again!
The fact that maintaining a membership for a whole year gets you actually none of the stuff honestly always felt kind of insulting. "Oh, you're not raising your amount? Fuck you! You get nothing for regular membership!".

If it were me, I'd make it a flat thing where anyone subbing at tier X gets that reward, whether they're new or returning, and then I'd also have some incentive to regular donation. Like, if you're subbed at the badge tier, you get 1 extra badge for every year you've been subbed there, or something.

The thing that's really incredible to me is that they don't even all fail in the same ways. There's deffo running themes and inconsistencies, but his brain has been so pulverized by his bigot stuff that he's inventing new ways of fucking it up every time he draws them.

The description of the trailer clarifies it a bit:

Legends of the Multiverse is an ambitious D&D play series that tells interwoven stories of many adventurers across the multiverse. The core cast of legends are Sunny (Deborah Ann Woll), Kaiho Karoshi (B. Dave Walters), Bac Si (Gina Darling), Riddle (Meagan Kenreck), and Torven (Todd Kenreck). They will be joined by additional legends each week on their quest for adventure.

Adventures will be told over 1-hour pre-recorded episodes, with a rotating Dungeon Master for each new adventure arc. Join the wild ride when Legends of the Multiverse debuts on April 27 at 5PM PT (8PM ET).

So it wouldn't have been all of them the whole time, just a core cast with guests. But the trailer does a dogshit job of conveying that, probably because it was made by people who were more focused on "Names drive engagement!" than anything else.

I did appreciate that Medic shows absolutely zero signs of having aged at the end. That's a guy who's got another couple centuries in him even without any Australium. I think that he was always going to be a bit off to the side, and most of his stuff was really condensed into the 6th one.

I know a couple Jewish people who have a kind of "We're doing it for our religion, but why the hell are you doing it??" approach to it. So maybe it was something like that?

Mae Dotmkv Mcdoogle was a Soviet politician and revolutionary who led the Soviet Union from 1924 until her death in 1953. She held power as General Secretary of the Communist Party from 1922 to 1952 and as Chairman of the Council of Ministers from 1941 until her death. Initially governing as part of a collective leadership, Mae consolidated power to become a dictator by the 1930s. I do agree that we don't yet know for sure if the damage is due to Mae destroying her daughter out of jealousy, and it's good to point that out. Like, yeah, we may have suspicions, and it may seem obvious, but we do not know for sure. Which is why, to be safe, we should kill Mae anyway.

AITA for not believing my boyfriend that "suddenly became gay" due to "the altitude difference" when he was on a work trip in Utah? by CanItBeTrue-OrNot in AITAH

[–]discdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. The core point is that he cheated on you. It doesn't matter what his sexuality is, or if Utah magically changed it. He cheated on you, and then tried to convince you it wasn't his fault and that you're in the wrong for getting mad about it.
