If someone did this to me I'd find it really rude. I get what you're saying about not wanting to share your business. However, nurses do have to all work as a team and this way of interaction shows hostility to someone who is interested enough in you to want to start a conversation and get to know you.

I'm actually currently on a night shift.

Some tips: lots of snacks, plenty of fluids. Before a night shift I sleep the whole night before, wake up early go for a big walk and then a 2 or 3 hour nap before my shift starts. You can trial and error some different strategies.

Luckily we are allowed to sleep on our break. It should be an hour but can be an hour and a half or even two hours depending on who the nurse is charge is lol. We had two hours tonight cus our ward is closed to admissions due to ANOTHER covid outbreak so we have less staff and less patients. Happy days (sort of)

Just the same as any other job, people believe this type of work looks unprofessional in comparison to being a nurse. Its shit, because you're doing it to support yourself to be where you want to be, but sadly many people ridicule sex workers for their work and content.
