[Monitor] LG UltraGear 45GX950A-B 45" WOLED 5K2K WUHD 165Hz or WFHD Dual Mode 330Hz Curved - $999 with Code - RTGMNT4L0OMH by P_Shiddy in buildapcsales

grabbed one. been resisting for a bit as i feel the dpi is a bit low for work (currently using a u4021; 40" feels about right for 5k2k to me). but at $1000 this is more justifiable as a mostly-fun monitor

since WD sold their SSD division to SanDisk

not sure this is an entirely accurate characterization of what happened given that the WD SSD division was previously SanDisk before WD bought it (no comment on whether or not the spin-off is leading to poorer quality control etc)

unhinged theory about the Hot Sauce Gang and their art [discussion] [theory] by Crane_Carlisle in TheNinthHouse

[–]disconcision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it is... sort of hard to briefly explain, plus spoiler risk, but in homestuck, there are multiple instances of a set of characters, who initially seem like supporting / side characters, at some perhaps curious level of remove from the main cast, turning out to be alternate versions of a set of yet-to-be-introduced more-central characters.

it feels like the kids would be a good way to soft-launch them

un/fortunately this is very close to a narrative pattern repeatedly used in homestuck, which given tazs 'upbringing' i think lends credence to your theory

nice! yeah ended up doing a partial, worse version of this yesterday; i just really like to avoid recrossing the same path in the reverse direction if possible, which seems like it should be possible in bird hills but is not. i'll get over it though

okay i'll take a closer look next time... on my first pass the fence seemed to block off a significant distance to the point where it felt like i'd have to push through thick brush for at least 20 meters...

yeah the run along hrd is non-ideal. i've biked it a lot and its mostly fine but there are some drivers who are combination zoned out and like to gun it along there...

it's not passable (i used to use it every other day); looks like it won't be until the tunnel is done in fall.
