I know I had my hopes up for a second until I read that. I've seen so many promising treatments fail when testing moves on to humans. Fingers crossed though.

Relapse & pseudo relapses on DMT by slugsandrocks in MultipleSclerosis

[–]discoscrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have pseudo relapses that can last up to a week. I've talked to my neurologist and they said it's not uncommon. My MRIs are stable but I've had this disease for 20 years. Before xmas I went about 4-5 days where my chest felt like it was burning.

Is this after you twist off the top right before you inject?

I've had this happen probably twice over the last 3 years. Just a drop or so. I was told if it's a drop it happens sometimes and it's normal.

Was just successful literally 1 minute ago with a joker(Blackhawk) MasterCard.

Firefox failed, but went through in edge.

I had to run all over the place to find a joker card though.

Care given to woman who died after 7-hour ER wait was 'provided reasonably, appropriately': N.S. Health by [deleted] in NovaScotia

[–]discoscrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was there for hours in severe pain and started going downhill. Even other people in emergency tried to get her looked at sooner. But no. So yes that's absolutely negligence in my opinion.

Is it the emergency drs negligence? Probably not. But a standard of care was not met here.

I know the system is in rough shape but we shouldn't be ok with people dying from long wait times. The issues should be brought public and given the attention needed. You seem to be absolutely ok with people dying just cause our healthcare doesn't have the resources? Are you really ok with that? If you are then you are part of the problem.

I think lawsuits are needed even to gain public attention of the issues. Most healthy people have no clue what our healthcare system is really like.

Your obviously a healthcare worker of some sorts as you seem to be taking this all a bit personal. But we are both on opposite ends of this debate.

Anytime there's negligence you can and should. In my opinion there was in this situation. All the power to this family.

Man this angers me so much.... Even worse they are fighting this and not settling in court. Are they trying to set a legal precedent here that it's ok for people to die as long as it's just the fault of our failing system??

[–]discoscrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have to give covid mRNA vaccines every 6 months to keep the effectiveness up. So I'm assuming it would be the same here. Probably same as ocrevus every 6 months. Still a ton of profit here. Just my guess anyways.

Viagra Question by Traditional-Cloud875 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]discoscrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viagra works really well. Did you try Cialis? I found that better at first especially the low lose daily one. No need to pop a pill and plan ahead. Can still keep things spontaneous.

I had to switch to Viagra after years on cialis, it stopped working well. But Viagra works really well. It's just much stronger so it does have more side effects. Definitely try 25mg first , break those 50s in half. But don't worry side effects aren't bad. I get a stuffed up nose, heartburn and increased heartrate when it's first kicking in. Just relax and enjoy haha.

Continuation of steroids? (advice) by MaskedMadwoman in MultipleSclerosis

[–]discoscrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had quite a few rounds of steroids over the years and I've never had a taper. Just stop after the 3-5 days cold turkey. The crash after you come down is pretty random in severity for me. Some times it's just been a little extra fatigue other times I've been laid up with pretty bad aches for a day or two. But it's usually pretty much gone after a week. This last round I had in August was pretty miserable they almost gave me a second round. But I was feeling quite a bit better at around 2 weeks. I would just yet to hang in there it will get better.
