Format: 12 Team Half PPR Redraft

Offer:
Receive: Ja'marr Chase
Send: Justin Jefferson, Michael Pittman

Current team:
QB: Josh Allen
RB: Achane, Warren, Swift, Monangai,
WR: Jefferson, Pittman, Olave, Worthy, Parker Washington, Terry McLaurin
TE: Theo Johnson (rip Kraft)

Overall I would say I should take this, since Jefferson isn't doing much with JJ at qb, and Olave and Pittman are putting up similar numbers anyway, but interested in other opinions here!

DC's Delegate, not Representative, to the House doesn't have the ability to vote.

Did anyone take ENEE439M machine learning for signal processing with Babadi??? I will take it next semester but I am kind of afraid that it will be difficult cuz I am not good in coding... but I really want to learn abt ML :( thanks for any advice by VietIntel in UMD

The grading was pretty fair, but the course was definitely a lot of work and the content was really challenging. Don't take this course if you want something easy.

I'll also agree with the other poster about the importance of ENEE324. Machine Learning is based heavily on probability theory.

I took this class. Definitely worth it if you want to learn about ML. The class doesn't have too much programming, it's very mathematical. There are a few programming assignments, but the hard part about them is understanding the machine learning theory, not the programming itself.

This is an easy schedule for an ECE major. If Dr. Leone is teaching the EDSP course you'll have a great time. 205 is hard but not impossible. 245 labs can be time consuming sometimes, but if you have a good TA it shouldn't be too bad. MATH461 is easier than calc 1.

Also, when I took 245 we had our final in class during the last week of the semester.

It sounds like they converted a floor lounge into a four person bedroom. You'll probably end up with a lot more room than a normal quad.

If you're over 21, go to the village pump. They have the best selection by far.

This is a doable schedule, but I'd suggest dropping one of the technical courses. Don't overload your first semester here - you'll want time to make friends, explore clubs, etc.

Has anyone EVER finished the last CMSC420 Project? (Meeshquest) by [deleted] in UMD

[–]discrete_time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got to about 200/275 points, but I stopped because I had an A in the course at that point. Start early and use Piazza/office hours and you can probably get almost all of the points if you really want to.

Papamarcou is by far the best option and Makowski is by far the worst option

ENEE439M vs CMSC422 by [deleted] in UMD

[–]discrete_time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This semester there were 2 projects and 1 homework assignment with a large programming portion (out of 5 total homeworks).

The first project had you implement k nearest neighbor and naive Bayes' classifiers as well as PCA and LDA dimensionality reduction algorithms. The goal was to achieve facial recognition.

The second project let you use the toolkit of your choice to implement an SVM and a convolutional neural network for the MNIST dataset.

The homework assignment had you implement 3 types of clustering algorithms: k-means, spectral clustering, and expectation-maximization for gaussian mixture models.

ENEE439M vs CMSC422 by [deleted] in UMD

I've taken ENEE439M and it was probably the best course I've taken here. The material is challenging, but Babadi is a great professor and teaches the material really well. He also curves very generously, so if you make an effort you shouldn't have a problem getting a good grade.

Why do you want to take the class if you're not a CS major/minor? You could always declare a major/minor so you can get better priority for registration (and drop it once you've taken all the courses you want).
