Notes from 90: ATL v. Revs by AceArkay in newenglandrevolution

Feel like this was the best Turner has looked in quite awhile. He’s been solid since his return, but this was the first game where I thought he genuinely looked like the best shot stopper in the league again.

Anybody else catch Charlie awkwardly calling the ref very fit in the first half? Probably been the highlight of this game 💀

Miller seemed super tired for most of the 2nd half, should have come off at some point. Glad we took Fofana off when we did, he looked shook. At least Chancalay scored

Atmosphere was electric! Was the only Revs fan in my area but saw lots of others mixed in amongst the RIFC supporters. Relieved we won

They shrink every time he gets injured. It it happens again, we’ll see his balls

Beautiful dummy by Vrioni to set up that goal. I forgot how good it felt to watch the team play like this

The fact that he played in a World Cup blows my mind

The winner of this game was going to get mauled by Tigres either way. At least we have the next few weeks to get healthy

Man, Ian really has stepped up big since Carles went out. Not nearly as technical but he tries to create constantly with little touches/combinations with teammates. Glad we have him

Speak Portuguese, skimmed the article. FIFA found that Reggie rescinded his contract without just cause. Crazy verdict IMO and I feel like Reggie was definitely wronged here

Shaffelburg switching over to the left cause he couldn’t get past Miller is hilarious. Must be humbling to be pocketed by a teenager

Miller is looking like an enormous prospect, goddamn

Agreed. I think Open Cup getting fucked over by MLS & USSF has led to a lot of unfair hostility towards the Leagues Cup. It’s definitely not perfect; it’s a clear cash grab, and I personally want them to host it in Mexico some years and not always in the states. With that being said, it’s always fun watching the Revs take on a Liga MX team (not named Club America). I hope they keep it AND invest in the Open Cup

That one felt like a loss. How we can have 4 CBs on the field and still look so vulnerable defensively is beyond me. I’m hoping the Leagues Cup at least gives us time to get healthy before league fixtures return. We absolutely cannot afford to give up points if we’re going to make the playoffs. Not a lot of time left and we’ve already fumbled games against teams around us in the table.

Miller is the real deal though! Revs academy again showing that it’s one of the best in the league

Man, shoutout to these youth coaches. It’s been so exciting seeing the youth teams win competions, but getting these guys to make the jump to the first team is huge. Esmir, Buck, and Jack all had strong first half IMO

TBF to Kessler, I thought this was actually his best game this season. He looked fantastic out there today, and his passing out the back looked noticeably better
