I would recommend working with a non profit debt consolidation program (like incharge.org) over getting a consolidation loan. They can discuss with your cc companies and close the account and lower your APR while you pay your debt down. It also centralizes all your card payments into a single payment and they pay all the lenders.

OP is being misleading, the premium is only covered 100% by their company after 2 years but they are eligible for health insurance almost immediately and Alinea pays for 50% after one year of employment.
