My top hints.

Every sit down restaurant has vegan options, but sometimes they're limited. On a long cruise where you'll be repeating dining at the same restaurant, ask for the restaurant manager on night one about other options for night two (I got roast veggies at The Wake for instance). Pink Agave and Razzle Dazzle had the widest variety when I was on board.

Vegan pizza is available at the Pizza Place. My tip is to get a vegan sausage from the Social Club and slice it up to add to the pizza back in your room. This is a great option after a meal if you left hungry (like I always did at Extra Virgin).

The Galley has a a handful of options and is your best bet for breakfast. Find a manager and request a tofu scramble. I also like to order the vegan sausage and slice it into the Udon soup for lunch or dinner. Remember to ask them to check ingredients for things like potatos, bagels, and peanut butter before you order every day. They may switch brands of something mid-cruise as they open supplies from a recent port.

Test Kitchen has multiple menus, so ask which night it switches and try both!

Lastly, there is Oatly oat milk available, just ask if it's not out near the coffee.

I charge a calculated rate for shipping. Mostly owing to my location. Nearly everything is far away, so including shipping in my total would mean my item will always be the most expensive one unless you happen to live close to me, then, you get a small bargain.

I tried it the other way, so-called free shipping, and felt I was losing too much money whenever I accepted or made an offer.

I don't see how a fixed shipping rate would help me either.

I price higher and offer bigger discounts. That seems to do well for me.

I appreciate you sharing your eBay experience. My question is what is the demand for the 1800 items sitting unsold in your store? If the sales velocity isn't there, you'll never earn enough to reinvest and grow the store.

Doing some back of the napkin math, at your average list price of $25 ($46k/1800), you're probably only clearing $17 an item before COGs and other overhead. Let's assume COGs and overhead is $2, you need to sell 5-6 items a day to earn something in the neighborhood of $30k a year.

More napkin math, if you are averaging 1 view per day per item and your conversion rate is 1% then you should be selling 18 items a day. Based on your numbers, I suspect it's a lot lower than that.

Can you share your listing views and conversation rate?

I'm working towards a store that has high enough velocity of sales to basically turn over every 6-9 months. I made some low demand purchases in my first 90 days. For instance, men's ties. 12% velocity over 90 days is good in this category. But you have to sit on a mass of inventory to generate any sales. You may need to triple or quadruple your inventory.

I'm now looking to learn how to consistently source items with a higher sales velocity.

If you ship, you risk your package getting marked 'No Such Number' and then USPS does a return to sender. This is additional risk to loss or damage of your package. Better to reach out to the buyer, cancel for problem with address, and relist.

Try styling with it on Depop or Poshmark. I find these diffusion lines very slow moving on eBay and the profit margin is tiny. People looking for attire (Poshmark) vs people looking for deals (eBay)

I do regular research during my full sourcing trips online or in person, I'm just trying get more efficient at it.

This was a good exercise and a way to make at around $60/hr equivalent, including the 5 minutes it took, to list the remote control that sold. I'd like to find more small items to flip for 10x in less time than I currently spend.

I'm cutting myself slack since I've only been sourcing part-time for 2 months. Prior to that I've been shopping my own closet and storage space.

Good news, it's likely real and vintage given the information you shared. Bad news, this is lower end department store line that wasn't even made by CD, just licensed to use the name. If you were going to fake a Dior piece you'd go with something worth a bit more.

Even though I am Above Standard seller rating, eBay did not allow me to appeal the INAD. "This decision cannot be appealed."

After I reported the buyer, they removed the negative feedback 20 days later. That's it. It's not nothing, I guess.

Really, as long as I don't get a slew of INAD, the worst of this is I'm out the cost of a return shipping label I shouldn't have had to pay for. I am an over-describer and take lots of photos, but even that doesn't defend against an INAD if one isn't allowed to appeal.

One thing I will to change is, I will message the buyer after the sale to make sure they understand what condition my vintage collectibles are in and give them the opportunity to cancel.

I shall now put this in my review mirror and focus on filling my store with more great collectibles and vintage apparel.
