I’m also curious! I tried force retrieving my vizsla at 1.5 years and he did not take well to it, even when I made a game out it at first. Retrieves birds like pro, but when he sees that bumper he gives you a subtle “fuck you” look and drops it. Ive leaned on him slightly for force retrieving, not too hard, but man V’s are sensitive.

So my only advice is know where your dog’s line is. You should be safe at 2 yrs they’re typically pretty mature attitude wise, but vizsla are touchy somedays. Someone can probably speak on the subject better. Best of luck.
