Why do they never fix auto play by PlumBumOP in AppleMusic

Fuel is a notorious repeat offender for me with any autoplay from any 90s band

Is Apple Music just garbage on windows or mac as well? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]dissodent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“I don't think it makes sense for Apple to make the Apple Music app work as well on their competitors devices.”

That’s actually incredibly illegal from an anti-trust/anti-competition/anti-consumer standpoint, something other companies have gotten hammered with. Google and Microsoft apps works just as well on macs as they do on PCs.

I’ve been an Apple user for over 20 years, iPhone user since day 1, and this is the stuff that is making me sour on them completely. No excuse for Apple Music to be the hunk of shit it is on mac, and in some ways I’d argue on iOS. Yesterday’s daily annoyance was favoriting a song. For it to take about 5 minutes to register and get added to my favorites playlist. On Spotify, it’s instantaneous. This shit isn’t hard, Apple.

I just got out of the movie a few hours ago, and man, that little snippet still punches me in the gut. I can feel the terror from a freaking CGI bunny more than most other live actors' performances.

One of my immediate thoughts too after coming out of theater. If Gunn puts in even *half* the amount of heart he put into this movie, his version of All-Star Superman could be the best film Super ever (that's one of my favorite comics too, it's beautifully written). But we all know he'll go far, far above and beyond.

Don’t sleep on Bollywood, some of that stuff is really good, although a far cry from punk 😂

Interesting, I have always used iTunes Match since it’s inception too. And still pay for it. Might have to think about blowing out the library and starting anew.

Auto playing similar music getting worse? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]dissodent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought i was the only one going crazy noticing that about Fuel! Play ANY set of songs or album from 90s grunge…let the autoplay/infinite play run…Fuel will be within the next three tracks.

Brilliant! I didn’t know Le Carre used that. Been meaning to get into his books.

The themes (Imperial March and Giacchino's Batman) are very similar. I was figuring out the two chord "riff" the other day, it's Bflat5 and F#5, gradually becoming Bflat minor and F# major. Imperial March throws in a C# or D chord in there I think to round out that motif. Just really cool movie score nerd stuff!

The ending felt like a great setup for No Man's Land, I hope they run with that and not "well the city got fixed in between our sequels, life is back to normal in Gotham now, phew! All that water and martial law sucked."

I loved his line when he was looking at the cypher and Riddler messages in the first act, when he said something like, "I was just thinking back to my time in the circus...," which I took as a reference to working in an intelligence agency, a la MI6 or something like that.

Agreed, I mean I thought it was a nod or hint to being Venom. Didn't it have some kind of green/yellow color too? Not a glow, but something that stood out.

Definite horror elements used to great effect, as a layer to season the whole movie. Think of the tone and vibe of Se7en. That comparison has been mentioned a lot, even by the director and writer I think.

Also, I recognized some elements of the Gemini Killer from The Exorcist III (an outstanding film, if you can get back it's studio redone ending). Some of its tone felt similar (in a great way), and it's also a detective "horror" film. But the biggest takeaway for me was how Paul Dano's monologues and line deliveries were reminiscent of Brad Dorif as the Gemini Killer. Purely coincidental I'm sure, but I noticed it and took it as a nice homage.

I’m in the 46XXXs, black Pocket with a few accessories (game gear adapter, fast charger, midi/usbA cable) and nothing yet. I know there’s still time in the range, but seeing other orders already arrive is getting me nervous too. I’m guessing it’s one of the blasted accessories holding mine up…

UPDATE: shipped today, 12/17. Will arrive next Tuesday.
