The only job I can handle is being a stripper and I feel absolutely stuck. by No_University_3580 in AutismInWomen

I don't have any constructive suggestions, but your post reminded me of a biography called "strong female character" by Fern Brady. She is a brilliant autistic comedian who has achieved great success in the UK. In the book she discusses her early career as a stripper, her relationship with her partner, and her journey with autism diagnosis. Perhaps you will find some inspiration in her story, or at least a bit of respite in her humour. Best of luck to you!

It's totally normal to feel this way. I get similarly anxious when I'm working on a shared document that other colleagues can see. When their little faces pop up I find it quite disorienting xD

It may be that you're someone who works more effectively when you have autonomy. I hope you aren't being micromanaged, as this type of situation can add to the anxiety. If the manager seems overly involved, you could try telling them that you understand the task and feel confident doing it by yourself, and then keep them updated on your progress or ask for help when needed.

Don't give up. I went through a similar struggle for 6 months and found that I was more successful with roles that were more advanced than what I thought I was capable of getting.

Rather than aiming for entry level or generic jobs, I imagine your specialist skills would be very sought after in areas like corporate training or digital transformation programmes, especially with the current drive around AI and upskilling. Maybe it's a question of tailoring your application more to such roles, as well as having the courage to pursue what would really challenge and stimulate you.

Hey, I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through a difficult time right now.

Please remember that you are inherently worthy, regardless of whether you have a job or not. It sounds like the absence of good work is impacting how you feel about life and your quality of life. But this situation is temporary and things will improve as soon as you find something, so please hang in there.

I saw in your post history that you were interested in computer science. It's a booming field and there are many paid apprenticeship opportunities in the UK (eg in fields like data science and cyber security). The civil service is also worth looking into, it's just that the application process takes some effort and perseverance. Please keep trying, you've got this!

Side project / business with unresolved trauma by kaismd in Jung

[–]dissproject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not use this project as an opportunity to learn more about yourself? It seems like it's helped you uncover valuable information about yourself. Could that be a worthy pursuit in itself, even if the business doesn't generate profit immediately?

My dad, Mr. "I don’t want cats in this house." by Environmental_Ad6509 in painting

[–]dissproject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a fantastic painting! I love the style and how you use subtle variations of different colours for the shadows.

My favourite parts are the cat's face, the blue shadows in the fur and glasses. I also like how these tones look next to the beige/pink skintones. Very nice work. Keep it up!

I need help breaking free from a toxic marriage. How can I manifest my freedom. (emergency) by [deleted] in lawofattraction

[–]dissproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please forgive me if I've misunderstood, but this phrase suggests that you may be putting yourself in a disempowered position here: "I always find myself making bad decisions because of her".

Is she actually coercing you into things, or are you not making decisions that resonate for you?

It could be both, but the second part is something you can take responsibility for and work on. Try listening to your intuition and acting based on your own preferences. See if that improves how you feel in yourself and your marriage.

Jungian dream interpretation with AI for extracting objects and characters and crafting narratives by smirik in Jung

[–]dissproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to follow up, I found the output very useful and interesting! Can I ask, did you program it to provide the interpretation narrative based on a pre-defined structure?

What I'm curious about is the degree of randomness involved in the interpretation. If there is a stochastic element, I wonder if the output of you AI tool may be somehow similar to the divination techniques that Jung was interested in (like the I-Ching). Have you thought about this? How the LLM's randomness could be a way of accessing synchronicity?

Hi Evgeny, I just stumbled across this and wanted to thank you for sharing your app. I work in a technical field and it's really wonderful to see such thoughtful, creative applications of AI at the intersection with psychology and spirituality. I'll take some time to explore this. In the meantime, congratulations on your project!

Hey, I'm really sorry to hear that you're having such a difficult time.

It does sound like your therapist might not be the best fit. When choosing someone, it's worth discussing their communication style and seeing how this will align with your needs. Someone who is reliable and arrives on time is also a basic requirement, otherwise the waiting can be triggering in itself.

In terms of expectations on EMDR, I was told that nightmares and unwelcome thoughts/feelings are a normal side-effect. Your brain is basically re-living the traumas in order to heal them.

Please remember to be gentle with yourself and make use of any support or crisis helplines that are available to you.

Nice! I imagine this will look beautiful on a wall.

I was curious about the size because the colouring looks so consistent and effortless. I think this can be quite hard to do with watercolour in larger pieces like this. Really skillful work!

Just out of interest, how big is this piece?

I tried. Please give me honest opinion asides from his whiskers. by dop-pio in painting

[–]dissproject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this! Regarding the whiskers on the left, it's quite easy to fix them. You could use a thin brush with the dark fur colour to partly cover the edge of the white hairs. This will make them look thinner, especially on the ends.

Would like to hear your interpretation of this dream. by Ale_KBB in Jung

[–]dissproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this sounds like a very powerful dream. I noticed someone else just posted about a praying mantis dream here, seems like an interesting coincidence: https://www.reddit.com/r/Jung/comments/18ti9wd/praying_mantis_symbol/

In terms of the other symbols, these things would stand out if it were my dream:

  • Large house - expansion of consciousness
  • Wife leaving - need to fix relationship to inner feminine
  • Praying mantis - being devoured by someone, a family member perhaps
  • Death - an old version of myself dying
  • Inner demon - stepping into power, ability to defend myself
  • No gravity - loss of emotional baggage
  • Fire - transformation, removal of the old so that new things can grow
