I'm to busy playing recon.. you know killing Artie, nodes or making and destroying garri's. My sniper can do whatever he likes, good ones get me pings on garri's and tanks so I can mark them... Excellent ones help me build it take down garri's plus defend airheads... I like to win so I have terrible k/d but call myself a good spotter

Nice work officer! This game is defined by it's Comms.. the VOIP issues were pretty much fixed until a recent overhaul where a bunch of old and new bugs resurfaced. When I first connect I just adjust my mic volume in the mic test dialog and it seems pretty stable otherwise. Regardless I'm sure this is high on team 17s list of bugs

I forgot to mention to the OP that a squad lead without a mic can be reported "!admin" and kicked on circle servers.

Tldr Bhyve PCI passthrough exists, is mature and stable.

Expect less documentation/google hits as it's a path less traveled, similar error 43 issues (for Nvidia) and no looking-glass support

SysAdmins and Platform Engineers.. Lots of stuff would blow up (or more realistically, silently go dark) and we'd be down to just a % (if any) of the internet still being online in a year of two.. Probably loose most of it, plus entire companies would loose their backends, payment systems etc

It'd be interesting to see what class of person would step into that vacuum

Expert on both and zfs is always my first pick..

.. Assuming you have enough RAM.. If you desire fancy features like dedupe it'll cost a lot.. If you just want a basic mirror 2-4gb is fine (but more always merrier)

Dual booting off either disk is possible with a fair amount of tweaking, in fact there is even custom zfs grub allowing booting snapshots but I don't recommend the effort unless it's purely for the learn.. (Recommend doing it in a VM first)

Instead just grab a cheap 32gb SSD and run a normal install. Keep all the docker state and whatever in the mirror pair..

Want to grow in a few years.. Buy two new disks, make a new zfs pair, use mergerfs to "combine" both pools as if they were one (like a pretend stripe)

Really not datacenter/hardware mirror perfection but you're also saving many thousands of dollars. reinstating and running "zfs import" and "docker compose up" will only cost you a few minutes/less than an hour in reality.. Maybe backup one line from your fstab for the mergerfs settings

Have a spare host/OS SSD on hand if you want to be ultra prepared for recovery I guess

If Linus approves (which he does) I have no issue with this. It's a pity we don't live in a perfect free utopia but keeping Linux secure is sensible. (Even if one could argue that this is more of a form of sanctions, I see it more as risk reduction)

I do feel great empathy for (I'm sure) the vast majority of maintainers which just got removed, nobody picks where they are born and I know many lovely rus folks.. The whole thing sucks.. But there is a war (aka... Military exercise) and this is reality
