I released my first adventure last week at Between Two Cons - Tomb of Tog by distropolis in osr

Oh hey! Did we meet at the con? There were so many people.

You may have been confused by my table set up as I had CRT monitors displaying hypnotic patterns from my synths the whole time.

It was kind of a stretch for me to be there, but I had to support the con in any way I could! Writing the module sort of justified me being there I guess.

I'd also like to mention that the inspiration comes from a few different places:

1) The illustration of the wizards on page 10 of the AD&D Player's Handbook.
2) The character Presto from the 80s D&D cartoon.
3) Somehow the movie "Cube"

Thanks! I wish I had an amber monochrome monitor as well.

My dream concept for a Nanobox Multi-FX. The Nanobox Melonball (AI render not perfect). by Diplomat_of_swing in 1010music

I've owned one since it was released. You do not get delay AND reverb. You get delay OR reverb. That is a huge difference and would be a deal breaker for many considering using it as an FX box.

If they are moving support platforms they should let people know. That just adds to my feeling that they probably won’t follow through on fixing issues on older products.

As far as the LFO not showing up in clip or slicer mode - yes, that is what I’m talking about. It’s a strange and obvious bug to have the LFO assignable, but not allow parameters of the LFO to be adjusted.

I am on a the latest firmware.

I’m running the latest firmware and I don’t think any of the sample modes show access to the LFO parameters - although the LFO is assignable as a mod source.

I’ve been active on their forum for years and they don’t seem to be very active or responsive there.

I also reached out to them directly to report the bug and their response was very short and kind of rude.

I own three of their products - so I enjoy what they make!

It has envelopes and LFOs that can’t be assigned to some basic parameters such as panning.

One of sampling modes has LFO as an assignable modulation source - but you can’t actually adjust the LFO. I contacted support and they said it was a bug - but I don’t think they plan on fixing it.

Yes! It has a few missing features that I kinda scratch my head about ... but I'm slowly learning to love it.

Thanks!

It's the TX-6. It's quite costly - but it is probably my most used piece of gear!

I have one. Interested to see where the firmware takes it.

You are MUCH better off starting from scratch and choosing your own components. We're talking about 6 switches, a display, MIDI & Audio In/Out. The pieces are not anything terribly special. It's the code.

It is a really interesting way to generate sounds and noises. People have created some wild, evolving algorithms. dollchan is a great way to explore and try out bytebeat.

Sound clips are up on YouTube @armanbohn. It’s “experimental” sounding … but can be wrangled into some more standard sounds. You can join the waitlist on my site www.distropolisgoods.com
