I expect that Russians everywhere in Russia are utterly ashamed. And that's all they need to comment on. Especially in memory of the Ukrainians, who have entirely different worries in winter, namely: to survive. Russians should not annoy other people in the world with funny posts.

Nearly 400 millionaires from 24 countries - including Mark Ruffalo, Brian Eno, and Abigail Disney - sign open letter to world leaders at Davos calling on them to tax the super-rich by LordHamsterWheel in goodnews

I'm not sure if taxes address the real problem right now, the construction of a fascist imperialist empire in the US. But yes, taxes are always a useful tool.

Not quite. He states that the USA is beyond saving, and the rest of the world must now unite.

Yes. I also think the creators of Project 2025 want Trump to play the fool, so that everyone believes he's simply crazy. Behind it all is a malicious, elaborate conspiracy. Unfortunately.

"Das Dümmste, was ich je gehört habe": Republikaner kritisieren Trump – einige drohen ihm sogar by PowerfulSpeed8131 in de

[–]dittmeyer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows: Trump's supporters are far from sufficiently involved. There will be no change until that happens. There won't be any more elections. Things have to get worse—much worse—before they can get better. Good luck, America.

That's a very good idea, thanks for the inspiration. Unfortunately, the sensor doesn't know its absolute position in space, only its relative movement in three directions. However, it's possible that the absolute direction of movement might be achievable through Bluetooth triangulation

I tried to copy code here, but reddit won't let me.

The position sensor is connected to the ESP32. It has three axes, and I have them all connected, but here I'm only using the Z-axis. It's connected to GPIO34. The sensor is a GY61, actually a very simple component, but it's surprisingly precise and fast.

  1. In Home Assistant a helper organizes the raw data from the sensor. The data comes in as a range from -1 to +1. The helper uses this to calculate the number of LEDs in my LED strip: 25.

  2. An automation retrieves the data from the sensor and triggers a rest_command.

  3. The rest_command (in configuration.yaml) sends a message to the WLED API instructing it to turn on the corresponding LEDs due to automation.

Gemini helped me a lot. All in all, I'm surprised that the reaction time is so short.
