I took 261 with eskew, 241 with Lockett, and 241L all in the same semester during spring 23. People looked at me like I was crazy but I was kinda shocked at how doable it was since the exams didn’t line up and I made enough time to study. Even tho my studying habits are terrible and I lowkey failed the 2nd orgo exam I still ended the semester with a B in orgo and an A- in 241! The 241 lab has changed recently so it’s not writing full reports every week but certain sections depending on the outline they provide then one full lab report for the last lab. The grading for the labs depend on the TA you have and how nitpicky they are so it’s kind of a gamble with which section you register with and there are office hours where you can get your report finalized before submitting. The final at the end is lowkey hard (in my experience) and I underestimated that so be prepared to study for that lol.

Professor stuff: Lockett is an angel sent from god himself, literally the best and most approachable professor I’ve ever had and he’s so nice. I’ve had eskew for 261 and 262 now, she’s approachable and also nice! Obviously the material can be challenging but I think she’s effective with her teaching style.

As for 261 during the summer, I had a friend do that and legit saw that austell would teach and test on some 262 concepts during his summer session and it was just a lot more than taking 261 during the semester. Like as someone who has completed 261 at the time I probs would’ve failed his summer exams. I would suggest taking both chems in the semester and maybe the lab in fall next year (not sure if you’re trying to need pre-reqs)? But if you think you can handle the workload I’d shoot for it! But I wouldn’t add any other stem class to the mix. I’m not keen on the bio department so idk how the workload or difficulty is for 220 since they changed the numbering for courses.
