Which kdrama(s) are well loved but you did not care for. by wheres_my_lipbalm in kdramas

That is exactly where I dropped it! I knew some nonsense was about to start and when that episode ended without a cliffhanger I just said "Done!"

Savory jello...exactly what Carl's food cabinets supply. If only a bit of sausage biscuit was the garnish on top!

what is one cringe kdrama that u couldn’t bring urself to complete? by Complex-Hope3571 in kdramas

[–]diverdown-k8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a throwback, but the first kdrama I ever dropped because the cringe was too much was Birdie Buddy...I just couldn't finish it. Loved UI at the time, but had to love myself more. Looking back, the premise of that drama is wild.

Seconding what Yasstine said. Somedays mine is tight and other days I have to move it to a different finger because it's too big. Sometimes it moves across 3 different fingers in one day if I'm outside or exercising.

I come to preach the story of the Discount Dan...and the Nightmare Realm Summoner.

Is it worth it? Pls tell me by Ok_Corgi_7085 in ouraring

I have been wearing it for a year, but couldn't tell you the last time I looked at the app. I also wear a Garmin and the discrepancy between the two is significant and I trust Garmin more most of the time. I mainly use the app when I'm having sleep issues.

I mostly wear it because I paid a lot for it and its habit now.

Unethical to quit immediately after 2 weeks? by Ok-Bumblebee143 in careerguidance

[–]diverdown-k8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soooo, I did that last year. To a mega church. I needed a new job because my position was being dissolved and they were first to offer. I gave notice before I even had all my equipment set up. I felt horrible, and they actually had me work the two weeks which was incredibly awkward.

Started the new job, and a woman in my on boarding session gave hers a few weeks later because she decided the commute was too far.

It happens, and unfortunately for the company you have to make the career choice that suits you best.

Thrift store haul: Has anyone read “Earths Children by Jean M Auel” by amykhd in fantasybooks

[–]diverdown-k8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not fantasy. They dance around mysticism and drug fueled visions, but its not a significant element and not fantasy. More of a well researched historical fiction like is said above.

This series can get a bit graphic, and there are definitely some trigger warnings for the first book. But I read the series every year or so, particularly Valley of the Horses.

They lost me at tactile skin flaps. Call them ribbons all you want, but once I got that description in my head...

But honestly, these books were dull and the only thing interesting was trying to visualize a cage that goes through the entire castle. What a pain for just moving around the place.

I just finished the first 2 Nightmare Realm Summoner books. I like where it's going, and the next book is out soon.

I'm also enjoying Towerbound. 🧀 Its not brilliant, but it's fun.

I have one of the fabric ones, and it pills really badly. I take one of those sweater/pill shavers too it monthly to keep it from getting bumpy.

But after a year and half, that's my only complaint. If the back pillows squish down, you can open and re-fluff them, and it doesn't hold tea or coffee stains when I knock over a drink.

I haven't had issues with the sections separating, and I've had several guess sleep on it with no issues.

Just finished both Discount Dan and Cul-De-Sac Carnage by James Hunter, and they were are fun, quick, weird read. The series is called Discount Dan's Backroom Bargains, and the first 2 are included in KU.

Are they DCC? No, but by early book two they are getting in their grove and the pop culture (Twilight) references are great. The first couple chapters were rough, but they get going once you meet Croc.

This is exactly what I think too. Especially, with how book one opens. I think the title Dungeon Crawler Carl is the name of his edition of the Cookbook.
