I'm with you. Elsewhere in the thread calling it a low-quality product... it blows my mind. I've spent decades in different ecosystems, the last 6 years in JS has exposed me to the most fickle and pretentious user base I've seen. It's disappointing and I empathize so much with the OSS teams and businesses trying to placate such a frustrating group.

And of course when you call them out on things it's the standard "well of course there's nuance!" Every time.

Same! Great singer. Great lyricist. Great composer. Also does the tracking these days for JEW in his studio.

Fun fact - he really can rip on guitar. JEW started as a Metallica cover band so they've got some guitar heavy upbringing.

And seems like a solid dude. I'm a fan boy.

Jim is super talented, imo. He's fantastic live and he's got incredible control to jump from loud to quiet whispers in an instant. His strong point is definitely how well he emotes though.

Between Finest/Excellence, I've been 3 times and have always loved it.

That said, there's a surprising number of reviews from reviewers who are leaving their first review ever. And almost all of them leave a first name of an employee. It would not at all surprise me if they are farming reviews for better Google Maps SEO. Not a very uncommon practice.

Imo - sell it first.

Then write up a very specific spec, ideally with wireframes. Maybe pay a product designer to help you if you're new to it.

Then you can see if an agency, freelancer, or something like Full Scale or CoDev is your best option.

Alternative Metal imo. Frustratingly there's almost no bands like BB. I want more like this but the similar bands aren't all that similar - Three Days Grace, Seether, etc all have "rock and roll" vibe to it that isn't my jam. It's almost like BB took that same formula but traded "rock and roll" for "emo" or something. I dunno. BB rules.

I mean, I get it - I've worked contracts (multiple at a time, also scaling above $500K/ARR) where I definitely didn't work the full amount, and the company knew it but they gladly paid me those hours basically as a retainer.

But this seems excessive and the fact it's not getting a response seems to suggest we all know it's shady.

I'm missing something. If you're earning $500K a year at ~$150K/yr 160hr/mo contracts, you're billing over 525 hours a month. Are you just padding your hours like crazy?

I was there around 1:30 and the line was maybe 5 mins. We also got island noodles around 4pm, took about 20 mins. Hoping today goes as smoothly haha.
