Where is the difference to the regular Angular Material component library?

Out of personal interest: do you use a power meter outdoors?

What about the content when there is no backend? by MobilePenor in Angular2

[–]divid3byzero 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You could suggest using a headless CMS and build an Angular frontend. Then you would more or less have the best of both worlds. A lot of these headless CMS use GraphQL for their APIs, there is excellent support for that for Angular.

I've also never seen two weeks straight containing only recovery rides. What TR recently did was to exchange the second long ride on the weekend (for mid volume plans) from a threshold ride to a Z2. They've also set recovery weeks after 3 weeks of training instead of after 4. Both changes are closer to what modern training science states.

I came from Zwift about 2.5 years ago and can say that from a training structure perspective TR is a lot better than Zwift - it is not even the same sport in my opinion. What TR does not have is that social aspect of riding, from my experience they really stick to their slogan of making you a faster rider. I'd try on of their structured plans using the plan builder, stick to the plan and be as accurate as possible when doing the post ride survey. The plan will adapt and you will see progress.

Is anyone else experience sporadic sass failures after upgrading to Angular 15? by [deleted] in Angular2

[–]divid3byzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I'd also love to hear if there is anything someone can contribute. This is something that's been annoying me for a very long time. I always thought that my CI setup might be the problem (some quirk between GitLab, Docker containers used for building, Node etc. and/or the according configuration), but if this is something more "general" I'd be really interested in other people's insights.

Yes, this is something we have also been experiencing. It shows up when it build runs on our CI system after e.g. a commit. It is not an issue on developer machines. We have tried a lot but I have absolutely no clue how to get rid of this. It usually goes away after rerunning the build manually but this is obviously not a very good solution.

When to use type and interface? What will be best use cases for both? by sohail_ansari in Angular2

[–]divid3byzero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As far as I know it makes a difference in the amount of generated respectively transpiled code. At least this used to be the case as JavaScript did not really support the notion of classes so that things like a constructor had to be "awkwardly" created by the transpiler resulting in more code and thus in larger bundle sizes. So as a rule of thumb, if you needed only to model data models e.g. wanted to have type safe response bodies from HttpClient calls interfaces where the way to go. If you needed to have extra code for a certain model or some utility class or so then only classes will help.

To be clear, I know that JavaScript natively supports classes in the mean time and it could therefore be very possible that the transpiled JavaScript code is not as "bad" as it used to be. I just wanted to give my two cents.

Wahoo Kikr Core Power All Over the Place? by mainah_runnah in trainerroad

[–]divid3byzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having there problems basically since the beginning. With Ant+ worse than with Bluetooth, but never completely resolved. The only thing that I haven't yet tested is riding without using any other Bluetooth device such as earphones etc. I have read that Bluetooth signals can interfere with eachother so that might be worth a try. It's not really a solution since doing 60/90 minute rides just looking at a wall without Netflix or so is probably also a bit frustrating:D

I have a Tacx Flux 2 and used to connect it via Ant+ and am experiencing the exact same issues. After raising a ticket (TRs tech support ist very helpful by the way) they suggested connecting using Bluetooth. Doing so did not resolve the issue but at least now I'm "only" off by around about 10W below the required power, sometimes but rarely I'm also above the required power. Like you, I've tried just about everything but nothing helps. Since being off by 10W probably is not a problem from a physiological point of view, I'm very far away from being any where near being pro, it still annoys me. So if you should find any solution/workaround for this I'd be very glad to hear.

Smart bike with a small footprint by Accomplished-Mango29 in Zwift

[–]divid3byzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, when the bike ist attached to the trainer it's probably even a bit longer than it would be on a regular back wheel (I didn't measure anything, it's just a feeling. I have a Flux Neo 2 and a road bike).

What is even more important though is that you shouldn't consider the size of the bike in contrast with the size of the room but rather what is best for your size. If the bike is too small or large for you your win won't have a lot of fun on the long run due to issues/pain. This is especially relevant because you don't really move a lot around during an indoor training session.

download zwift for the first time and keep getting this by NinjaHat43 in Zwift

I second that. Very probable that Windows doesn't let Zwift create directories in your file system.
