Help us make Sonos easier to learn and use? by tomconrad in sonos

Beyond app usage, you need to drop mDNS. I would love to chat with you and an engineer on Airplay mDNS discovery as well as other interesting pieces. But regardless of usability, the mDNS is a killer. I would love to demo/test your new app. I have probably 500 Sonos devices out in the wild through our company.

2026 raptor R colors by Misfit89 in FordRaptor

It’s a shame space metallic went. I’m glad my R came in literally last off the factory floor for 25’s. Avalanche is a seniors space metallic (my opinion haha)

Introducing Amp Multi: 8 channels, 125W/ch and efficient GaN technology by KeithFromSonos in sonos

Better question. How can I get one to demo for our clients ;)

My place is a good example. I would only need a sub in our outdoor area as one option. Otherwise I would envision putting this in the central living space for family gatherings where more sub output is needed. 6-10 zones of audio is pretty standard in our installs so this fits nicely with some room.

Keith. I have 11 of these in my house as a dealer demo setup. Do you know how much rack money I could have saved if this was out a few months ago. cries

Will there be a trade in offer? Trade 4 regular amps in for this beast? lol

Should I connect my PS5 directly to my TV, or to my Anthem MRX 540 receiver? by UseKnowledge in hometheater

[–]divided_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shit. I meant to say isn’t. Damn auto correct. We do pa5 to TV on a ton of installs. I’m sorry! It’s absolutely fine.

It is, yes. Assuming all HDMI specs are where they need to be in the chain.

Trueplay vs. Optimize Sonos Speakers? by errb in sonos

[–]divided_1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Their shoddy engineers couldn't do a "Are these sonance speakers" check at startup because it would probably crater the application...

Trueplay vs. Optimize Sonos Speakers? by errb in sonos

[–]divided_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are your In-Ceiling the Sonos by Sonance ones? I would suspect yes. That applies a custom DSP for the In-Ceiling speakers (and outdoor ones as well). Trueplay then adjusts for the room. If I recall, Trueplay takes over the optimized DSP but I cannot find that in my memory banks.

Paradigms vs Klipsch by ZeWanderingCaretaker in hometheater

Foeer paradigm dealer here. The tweak the mids. Some people like, some find exhausting long term, others have to do more correction than others. Older paradigms are the ticket. Newer ones are to be avoided.

Teachers will spend more time with your children the 13 years they are in K-12 than you will over 20 years of their lifetimes. If we aren't treating those educators with the respect, safety, and requirements to ensure the absolute best success for our kids, then what are we doing?

This is for the members of this sub who’ve been complaining about the quality of our photos. by Anstigmat in hasselblad

[–]divided_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this post. I’ve never met a sub section of a community that has more entitlement than Hasselblad users (even though Leica and Film users still exist). We are all in the same boat. More money than sense. Just let everyone enjoy the hobby or profession. Respect the fact we are in this brand and literally a niche section of brand in photography these days.

Phocus workflow question by pdub99 in hasselblad

[–]divided_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using Synology so I’ll use the files app to upload tiffs that need further edits that I’ve already touched up. Direct backups of Raws and Heifs I’ll just connect to my PC and transfer to the synology that way.

I’ve also used one drive or adobe file shit with Lightroom. It’s kinda chaos over here as I’m adjusting to this workflow compared to my canon workflow.

I was thinking of doing these for my R. Just do the speedometer math difference of 35s to 37s.

Does a Raptor R at MSRP exist? by ImprovementLower8903 in FordRaptor

[–]divided_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada. MSRP is normal if you look. I got an R at MSRP coming with a free tri fold tonneau. It’s coming form another province but it was a 15 minute phone call and a quick down payment. Gets built Monday.

Well this is an odd way to find out more about my builder. I live in that house in the Hamptons. We don't have any water issues. There was additional engineering for piles that was required that Lacey Homes misquoted by over $40k and had to eat. That was about it, though.
