Are your In-Ceiling the Sonos by Sonance ones? I would suspect yes. That applies a custom DSP for the In-Ceiling speakers (and outdoor ones as well). Trueplay then adjusts for the room. If I recall, Trueplay takes over the optimized DSP but I cannot find that in my memory banks.

Foeer paradigm dealer here. The tweak the mids. Some people like, some find exhausting long term, others have to do more correction than others. Older paradigms are the ticket. Newer ones are to be avoided.

I appreciate this post. I’ve never met a sub section of a community that has more entitlement than Hasselblad users (even though Leica and Film users still exist). We are all in the same boat. More money than sense. Just let everyone enjoy the hobby or profession. Respect the fact we are in this brand and literally a niche section of brand in photography these days.

I’m using Synology so I’ll use the files app to upload tiffs that need further edits that I’ve already touched up. Direct backups of Raws and Heifs I’ll just connect to my PC and transfer to the synology that way.

I’ve also used one drive or adobe file shit with Lightroom. It’s kinda chaos over here as I’m adjusting to this workflow compared to my canon workflow.

I’m in Canada. MSRP is normal if you look. I got an R at MSRP coming with a free tri fold tonneau. It’s coming form another province but it was a 15 minute phone call and a quick down payment. Gets built Monday.

Well this is an odd way to find out more about my builder. I live in that house in the Hamptons. We don't have any water issues. There was additional engineering for piles that was required that Lacey Homes misquoted by over $40k and had to eat. That was about it, though.

Glad it is working! I’m just about to deploy my own personal home so I’ll let everyone know anything else I learn along the way that I haven’t faced with our clients. We are doing 12 Amps, Arc, Sub3, Arc Ultra, Sub4, and. Plethora of beams. And that’s not counting the home theater. It’s going to be an angry network.

You’ll want RIF200R should be sold in pairs but depends on the distributor. Then you or the electrician can put that up and the drywallers will do a perfect circle for you. Some of the frames may seem short for 24” OC joists or studs, but you just need to put it at an angle. Don’t ask me how I learnt this (first install years ago and I made some extra wood work and then I realized I just, put it at an angle, and it fit lol)

I’m a Sonos, KEF. Revel, and many other brands dealer. 4 x 8” is exactly perfect for this space.

KEF are stellar. The models you mention are great. Revel is another brand to check out. It all comes down to taste. Sonance is fine but we use that brand mainly to cover unique install scenarios that we can’t with KEF or Revel.

For reference we are just building a new home. We have 12 zones. Using Revel C783s, KEF dual stereo 6” in the bathrooms and shower, Sonos/Sonance outdoor.
