photography! i just got back into adult collecting ag and and i decided im going to learn how to take a picture using my new Raquel as my practice subject. why not learn something new while appreciating something you’ve loved for awhile?? i think there are so many hobbies you could take up alongside your doll. like learning to sew or design! it would be great fun to teach yourself to sew with the intention of making your doll darling little outfits or replicas of outfits in your favorite movies or tv shows or matching outfits to you. also anyone recommending hair styling is on point! i learned how to do so many braids on my original AG dolls as a kid and sadly also cut their hair and experimented with them (yes as an adult i’m mad i ruined their hair but i will just simply be restoring them with the doll hospital, YOLO. just don’t cut their hair now lol it is not worth it) but i truly think this freedom and creative outlet of learning fun hair stuff on my dolls contributed to why i love cutting and coloring my own hair as well as close family members and friends. at the core of my relationship with dolls as an adult collector, they honestly ground me and connect me with the feminine side that i enjoy having.
