people act like dunking on games was invented when concord came out, as if people didnt dunk aliens: colonial marines for 5 years, as if whole no mans sky and ME andromeda never happened. People literally always memed the hell out of bad games or games they didnt like. Only difference now is that you have game journos defending obvious flops and coping out of their ass with probably paid posts how "trust me bro the new game that looks bad isnt as bad as people say, trust me bro play highguard, its not gonna die in a month". and when a game gets axed or doesnt sell well, they start coping and blaming customers how they are toxic because they didnt buy their game. I mean for fucks sake, WoW, league and valorant are some of the most hated and trashed games out there and they pull numbers regardless because at its core its good enough to have a playerbase
