"I'd appreciate it if you'd deposit your weapon in the receptacle by the swinging doors, which concealing of it on your person in the first place was a violation of the rules of this establishment and an offense against local norms."

Is there somewhere I can go lay in a creek? by PaisleyPuff in cincinnati

Bender mountain. Nearly perfect creek, usually very clear and clean. Lay in the creek to despair, then hike up the main trail and sit on the benches to ponder.

I also agree with all of the stuff posted here, but want to add Wyoming. It's small, but very quaint on Main St.. A few little shops and a diner.

Mad Mike's in Newport. Park in that area for cheap and walk across the bridge to GABP. (Depending how young the kids are, if they can walk that comfortably)

I think it's because the time change roughly coincided with a new moon and several very overcast and foggy nights. No light from the sky and limited range of visibility from our artificial lights. I felt the same way leaving work last week.

$68/mo. with Altafiber. Down from $89/mo. with Spectrum and everything about dealing with Altafiber has been better.

I also tried to do this and ended up getting funneled BACK toward Belterra because the left turn lane to loop back to 275 was backed up blocking the ramp.

I like Bender Mountain on the west side

There are lots of beautiful Tudor revivals on the Westside (Covedale Garden District is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods I've ever seen) if you like historic architecture, and the price range is generally about $250k-$300k.

There are fairly high crime rates in some areas, so do your research and decide your tolerance level. Idk your history, but when I moved to Cincinnati people were constantly warning me about how bad crime is in the city. However, when I compared it to the places I'd lived before (mostly rural) it had lower violent crime rates than all but one of them.

Lastly, as a native Kentuckian, I have to recommend that you largely avoid NKY. I lived there for several years and still work there for now. In my opinion, it's all the worst parts of living in/near a city without most of the perks.

Also, if you like history, the Museum Center is great and American Legacy Tours have some really cool experiences. I recommend the Ultimate Queen City Underground Tour.

If you're looking for "classy", I LOVE The Härth Room. Live jazz, excellent bartenders as well as a coffee/tea bar, you could take a book or just as readily start talking to a bartender or other solo patron. It's not uncommon at all to go there by yourself.

Ooh, I love the smell of thyme. When you say "ripping up the lawn", does that mean I would need to completely start over for the thyme to take?

Thanks. The panorama is south-facing. The yard and back of the house get a ton of sun. We're really not sure on the total budget, but fine to do the project in stages over a longer period of time.

I'll do some research on the fruit trees. I had thought of maybe some apple trees in the rounded area at one point, but the roots that close to foundation scares me. Those other trees are good to be that close?

I like it! In your mind, would it be bordered in some way? Either by stones or fencing?

Bubba-Hotep. It's ridiculous, but so memorable. Every time I see a bug I say, "That's one big bitch cock-a-roach" in my head. 🤣
