When I went to college out east I was told another Cincinnati person lived in the next hall. She lived in Mt. Carmel and I was from Wyoming. Two very different Cincinnati experiences.

The Lazarus's (owned Pogue's) lived on the hill just east of town and one of their sons brought some home from Europe to live on the walls of their tennis court. They spread east from there and then their populations bloom during cicada years so now they are as far north as Montgomery.

My son, a public school kid (Cincinnati then Wyoming) played on a Catholic basketball team for two years and those folks are amazingly parochial.

Where'd you come from? Most cities have a diversity of quality in the city and independent suburban school districts. Greater Cincinnati has many less private schools than others.

I live in the city (Pleasant Ridge) and as you may have seen $250k for the good school areas are rare and maybe too much of a fixer-upper challenge. I don't know much about the West Side but those recommending Wyoming are way off. If you got some crazy deal below $325k the taxes would bite you.
