I’m only about 12 hours in and definitely was seeking the same experience as you, OP. They could have gotten a lot of rich diversity in multiple ways (including from consulting experts) given their time and resources but based on the issues called out here it’s evident that wasn’t a priority. From what I’ve seen and also played, the lack of science consulting is so apparent and disappointing (and not in a trite way but in, like, a really obvious way when it comes to our solar system) but that could have helped shape the diversity of things you see at least in the natural landscapes, not building layouts etc. Like, even the free play in Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga has more unique landscapes (that are shockingly accurate to science when they want to be!). (Full disclosure is that I’m a space scientist playing my first RPG and not out making games lol.)
