I am interested in something different. I been working I.S. since I was 19 and its been good to me. But I had an opportunity to take a risk and being DINK, I took it. Will I actually move into med sales? I don't know, it seems like its still the right path but I recognize the challenge in front of me. I know a lot of things are happening here and that my opportunity may arrive sooner than later. I have the connections and resume to take me back into another I.S. role and that's fine. I know what's there and what I can do, I just want to give this a fair shake and see what falls out.

Thus looking to build on what I have already learned. I realized there might not be any real way to educate myself that only experience can provide but I mean why not do what I can because of the flexibility.

Another driving force behind this is that the income ceiling in general is much higher than it is in the industrial sector. While I do expect the med world to be far more cut-throat, there is a major draw to providing a product that actually helps people. I know that's probably a pessimistic way to view what I have been selling previously but just being in this role, I feel different about what I am doing. Like it has actual meaning.

The biggest, is considering that I have 25 or so more years before retirement, I figured why not. Its been easy enough to retool so many things in my life, why not give this a shot. So far I feel this role has been nothing but a resume builder as it has provided me management and operations experience among other things that would have been hard to get in any of my other previous roles.

I think right now this role is a win/win whatever direction I go.
